So recently I did a statistical study about said time period, using mainly a blend of avaliable "pure" RAPM data (PI when possible, NPI for 1997 and 2001, used the infamous 14 year dataset with a small weight for validity purposes, thanks to JE, acrossthecourt, shutupandjam for said data) combined with my own statistical-plus minus (which has an adjusted R^2 of about 0.600, I know for example BPM is better but I like to do my own stuff when possible) and maybe the most important thing of all, the thing I call "usage factor", which is a boxscore metric really dependant on usage, so it rewards players with a bigger role.
The resultant number represents the total contribution from a player from 1997 to 2014. It is... just a number, I didn't try to convert it into wins or other stuff. Some important players:
Spoiler:
*No playoffs.
*Pure PG's (Nash being the most obvious example) may very well be underrated, my SPM kinda hates them.
Any thoughts? Any strange results? Feel free to post whatever you can, including players you would like to know about.
