Really difficult to think of some names. Guys like Mookie and Buck Williams are guys I've been high on for a while (and Dave Bing, dang it, was gonna mention him). Did someone mention Terry Porter?
Terry Porter is a good mention. Dude was an excellent PG, probably wouldn't get credit even if the Blazers did win a title with him. Dude played forever too. I didn't realize that he lasted until age 38.
Maurice Stokes is one that should be brought up more. Forgotten tragedy of the 50s. Dude was like some sort of point-center for the Royals, but in his third year he had some head injury that got worse after a plane flight and ended up paralyzing him. A few NBA guys (who were pretty poor at that point) paid for his treatment for years and organized a sort of charity scrimmage to raise money every year. Pretty much everybody showed up. First time Wilt played against Kareem was one of those games too apparently.
