The Stephen Curry Thread (2015-16 Pt. 2)

But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Lets hope he is ok. Would hate for a playoffs to go down like this.

Shumann reported a Warriors team doctor told him that Stephen Curry has a sprained right MCL.

https://twitter.com/RotowireATC/status/724357124503932928

There were at least 11 isolated MCL sprains this season in the NBA. Low grade sprains averaged 15 missed days & 7.2 games lost.

So if that will be confirmed by MRI (still haven't seen official results), then maybe he will be back sometime during WCSF. But CF or even finals are more likely...

Well then the Warriors better hope the Blazers can push the Clippers to 7 games. In a best case scenario Steph could make it back maybe by game 4 of the semifinals.

It's is saying they know without the MRI test results.

That's the sound of a collective sigh of relief you hear. Greatest news that one could have realistically hoped for.

Yeah, great news. The lesser of evils. Now, let's root for the Clippers - Blazers series to go 7 games.

Great news, but I wonder how it will affect him mentally, when he will come back.

Remaining games in LAC-POR series:

4/25 - G4
4/27 - G5
4/29 - G6
5/1 - G7

From this, "May 2 -- Conference Semifinals begin (possible move up to April 30 or May 1)".

Obviously there are no back-to-backs in the playoffs, but I'm guessing if the series goes 7, the semis between GSW and the LAC/POR winner would start on 5/3. If the Clippers wrap it up Wednesday, they'd probably start Saturday.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

So two weeks from now puts him at May 9th. If May 2 is the absolute latest the semi-finals start, then he's probably gonna end up missing 3 games. This is assuming Clips/Blazers goes 7 games.

I edited into my post that the series would probably start 5/3, since they wouldn't have the LAC/POR winner start the next round on a back-to-back.

Ah okay. That still means he's likely to miss 2 games at the least.

Great news but it hurts his PS so so much, a guy who was forced to keep finding his rhyme 2 or 3 times. I will be happy if we see a 80% curry this PS.

Well this sucks.

Honestly you don't bring him back unless he's healthy. Yah the 73 wins becomes an asterisk and whatever but you have a young dynasty going. You don't bring him back unless he's 100%.

Maybe I'd feel differently if they hadn't already won one. Annointed future dynasty's sometimes don't come to fruition (OKC for instance, though more to do with front office stupidity) but this team is so good. They will get another chance even if they get knocked out.
