Replace 02 David Robinson with 13 LeBron James

How do the Spurs do?

Remember, the Spurs didn't have Robinson for a large part of that playoff series against the Lakers that year, so you're essentially adding peak LeBron to the Spurs in the playoffs. Does it make a difference against the Lakers?

Uh duh.

They merk the Lakers in 5 or 6 and easily win the title.

13 James is the best player in the series. 02 Duncan is the 2nd best player in the series.

You are adding a +6 offensive player to an ok offense but surround him with the 2nd best defense in the league (and they were basically tied with NJ for first). Not to mention Bron makes them better defensively as well.

Adding peak LeBron to any playoff team likely makes them a contender. Adding peak LeBron to a 58 win team makes them a clear favorite, barring injury.

They demolish the field. Robinson was hurt, S. Smith got hurt for the final 3 games and that series was very close with SA blowing leads down the stretch because they only had one option. Now you're adding prime Lebron.

Hmm, didn't realize how close that series was despite it only going 5 games.

Maybe a better question would be if LeBron was on the 01 Spurs instead. They got wiped off the court by the Lakers that year, wonder if peak LeBron changes that.

Didn't Derek Anderson get injured for that series as well?
