When you're getting cheap fouls, defenses become timid and suddenly you get more space, don't have to work as hard and get into a rhythm. I've yet to see Embiid play well in a real rock fight in the playoffs. Injuries are omnipresent with him, yes, but he doesn't deal well with physicality and adversity either.

I can't remember of the pair of all star teammates who are this bad in the play off basketball. They must be the worst play off performing all star duo in the NBA history.

Embiid is atrocious, he's just low iq guy on the court.

More of the same. Quite an unimpressive playoffs performer (arguably the worst ever) relative to regular season dominance.

Respect for Maxi, he kinda redeemed himself for being piss poor play of performer but Embiid is just not made for the serious basketball.

Regulation disasterclass from Embiid but shoutout to his overtime performance tbf. Had at least three crucial defensive stops singlehandedly and then of course the and-1

Knicks are gonna clobber the Pacers so thats another Ecf

Embiid is just arguably the biggest playoff dropping superstar ever tho this is his best series. His defense was targetted all series in pick and rolls. Big reason Knicks shooters had the series they did. Not the 1st time Embiids defense has been exploited in a series. Defense is better w/ him since when he sits they have no rim protector or real backup big which inflates his +/- numbers but it was evident again.

Funny how holding a 118 oRtg offense to 115 oRtg during a playoff series is considered "exploited defense".

As much as I don't like watching his foul grifting, I feel bad for him. In his 30s now and looks like he's never gonna get through a season healthy.

Well that was the reason he wasnt unanimously the number 1 pick...............broken foot, lingering lisfranc, stress fracture in his back...........and these were all before he even played a game in Nba. I mean he basically missed his 1st 2 Nba seasons and how long hes lasted and winning an Mvp is actually a massive success and way over expectation considering the injury worries predraft

theme of his career........explosive starts and then.......even past injuries his conditioning has always been sus. For as much criticism as Jokic has gotten for his over the years due to visuals and other physical factors and differences b/w the 2 he isnt that one gassing and falling off end of games like this

The most overrated MVP in the history of the NBA. That is going to be his playing legacy.

If you can run up and down the court for 48 minutes you are healthy. If you are on the court you are healthy. He had two months of the rest before the play off's. He was the most fresher player going into the play off's. His injuries are overblown so he can have the cover for the poor performances in the play off's. The most players are banged up at this point of the season. Jokic for example have the issues with his back and wrist. You are just parroting media points for the most protected player in the history of the league.
