I doubt he wins it again. I didn't support him winning it in the first place either, though, so there's that.

Still, unless Philly is really successful, I have to imagine it lands elsewhere this season. We'll also see how healthy he is.

A case could/maybe should be made that Embiid is one of the top few greatest scorers, on a rate basis, in NBA history. He is the all time leader in career points per minute played in NBA history:

I have a feeling that the media will be too enamored with his box score stats to give it to anyone else this year. So long as the Sixers remain a top 3 seed in the east and Embiid doesn't miss too many times(say 65+ gp). Luka might have made a run but Dallas has fallen off too much. I don't think they want to give Jokic another yet unless Denver had ran away with the west which they aren't(if anything it looks like Minny will).
