Depends on how many balls they let the team play with.

Easy team to hate on. Probably easiest since Durant to Warriors with Boston a close second. If they meet in the finals it would be a victory for star power and a bad omen for small market championship hopes in the near future.

A lot of eyes on Harden. I’d say he’s been rather immature and entitled since his Houston fiasco, and that is precisely why he’s on his fourth team in 4 calendar years with his 3rd trade request and 3rd/4th stars teamed up with.

His value proposition in LA could work out (some ?s regarding Russ fit) that said, but I’m still unsure if they’re contenders. If Harden flames out this playoffs, don’t think him and his fans will hear the end of it.

Russ seems like a good guy, and maybe his personality is necessary getting everyone to mesh, but not sure he deserves headlining here.

Classic 'if healthy' qualifier on the whole team, and I just don't have the necessary faith in Kawhi on that front.

Poor Paul George.
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

Ironic how the guy with the best roster luck in history has some of the worst injury luck.

Westbrook off the bench
Harden starts & works as the playmaker while having PG & Kawhi as the scorers

Makes the most sense to bring westbrook off the bench. I wonder how much kawhi will be ok with playing the 4 in necessary lineups.

When Harden was next to kyrie & Kd in the handfull of games they actually played together he was brilliant. So id honestly expect the same here, especially if they bring Russ off the bench.

Nice to see Kawhi and PG crush it on a B2B. Really excited for Harden/PG/Kawhi eventually. Russ could ruin it or add the perfect amount of chaos.

Their big 3 has a chance if winning it all this year. Westbrick is going to come off the bench, whether that's immediately or in 10 games, and might get cut. He's been done as a star for a while. PJ Tucker is more important to the Clippers title odds than him.

If healthy I'd be leaning Boston, Bucks, Suns, Warriors and Clippers over the Nuggets. If the Lakers can get another piece in a trade I might take them too (say OG). Mavs are a punchers chance dark horse.

-James Harden on the 76ers

Pretty cool quote, although I'm not sure it would inspire faith if I were a Clipper fan

Idk what the Clips rotation patterns have looked like, but the lack of athleticism (vertical and downhill threats too) - as well as their ‘big four’ , I don’t think Russ is close to Harden or George as a player at this point , seeming to be on different pages have been huge bottlenecks so far.

Wonder how many nights they will have where >= 1 of those players struggles to score from the field or (in contrast) when they all click.

They need a guy who can...

- space the floor,
- hold his ground against the centers
- box his man out
