If you think Bogut is a random bum then there's really nothing I have to say to you.

That would be ideal because that is my strong opinion. I can vividly remember murmurs of the guy being a bust then he realizes he is 7ft tall and can atleast get a rebound and block an occasional shot and attracts a little fan club. What a joke.

Re: Atlanta Hawks Official Trade Ideas Thread
With Hinrich's return to play is it to early to point out the obvious trade once he establishes himself as still able to bring it? The obvious deal is to send him to the Lakers for a pick because they have a trade exception. The team would get under the luxury tax and possibly use the exception we'd get to acquire a big for the stretch (while staying under the luxury tax). It's not sexy, but I can see management/ownership doing it to get below the luxury tax.
Andre Miller would be a bigger target for the Lakers, but Denver has no financial pressure to help a conference rival.

Who needs sexy. Would like it to be a 2012 pick as long as that pick isn't flipped again for cash and not even a eurostash or future 2nd. Would like the ability to trade up if there's a specific guy whoever our GM is targeting but can't risk waiting till our pick. Yeah yea, Teague's coming into his own now but think Ty Lawson who was ready off the bat and how much that stung.

That trade has been mentioned several times in this thread alone. I agree totally.
Hinrich for the TPE+Darius Morris+ 1 of the Lakers first round picks this year since they have 2 of them due to the trade with the Mavs in which they got one. I would ask for the better of the 2.
Lastly, the Lakers aren't really looking for a guy to create like Andre Miller, or for a guy with a suspect jump shot like Andre Miller. They are more looking for a guy that can knockdown open shots and help keep quicker PG's out the lane like Kirk Hinrich.

I heard the Jazz are shopping Devin Harris. What do you guys think of the above trade?
Hawks get: Devin Harris, Raja Bell, and Derrick Favors
Jazz get: Hinrich, Marvin, Zaza and 2 1st round future picks.
I know those 2 1st rd picks are a bit much, but do you think Favors is worth it? The Jazz have too many F/Centers Favors, Kanter, Jefferson, then Millsap is a 4 also. The amnesty clause does not make sense in every case because in some cases you could use these guys as trade chips to get more needed pieces and get rid of contracts and such.

Hawks get: Emeka Okafor
Hornets get: Marvin, and Zaza
Then
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=78kqfmz
Hawks get: Darius Morris+Devin Ebanks+ 1st rd pick from Lakers (they have 2)
Lakers get: Kirk
New lineup
Teague/Pargo/Morris
Joe/Willie/Stack
Ebanks/T-Mac
Josh/Rad/Ivan
Okafor/Collins
Horford back
Teague
Joe
Josh
Al
Okafor
Not in love with Okafor but that is probably the most feasible big man that could make a big impact we can get.

Hornets probably don't do that. They already have Ariza and don't want Marvin's contract (though he is playing better this year thanks to his rebounding).
How about these trades?
Minnesota gets Captain Kirk,
Atl gets Ridnour and one of Pek/Miller/Darko (pref Pek for his back to the basket imo)
or...
Phoenix gets Captain Kirk and Marvin and 2 1sts
Atl gets Nash and Channing Frye (hopefully Nash resigns for a couple of years).
or...
Milwaukee gets Captain Kirk and Marvin plus a 1st or 2
Atl gets Bogut and Delfino.

I honestly like this trade idea, we shed Marvin's deal and get Favors who was the third pick in last years draft in the process. I don't think giving up the 2 first rounders is too much particularly because the picks will be in the 20s while Favors still has an amazing ceiling.

The second trade with Phoenix is an absolute joke, there is no team in the league which would give up 2 first rounders and take Frye's bad deal, and we would do this deal for what? Potentially a half a year of Nash? Hell no! But I do like the last deal with Milwaukee it would be a steal for us if Bogut stays healthy (which at this point I'm doubtful of), and Milwaukee might just be so frustrated with the injuries that they let us pick their pockets.

No, to the 1st trade because Kirk is a expiring and taking back Ridnour and whomever would put us in the luxury next year.
No, to the 2nd trade because it really does not help any. What are we going to play Nash and Teague in the backcourt and move Joe to the 3? I don't like that idea.
No, to the last trade because once again it would put us in luxury next year.
Marvin, Zaza, and 2 1st rd picks is what I would offer for Bogut. We don't have the room to do anything else. We can't take back any of there bad contracts without going into luxury next year. That is why the trade will probably not happen and he is not worth Al or even Josh, even though I would trade Josh for him.

Re: Atlanta Hawks Official Trade Ideas Thread
With the 2nd trade I certainly overpaid with the 2 picks, but Frye is not on too bad contract, and I kind of figured Josh would play the 3, hopefully to post up on the O boards with Frye on the 3-point line and with Horf on the high post at the 4 (once he gets back). Till then, it would be small-ball.
On the first one, yes, that probably won't be done because it leads to the tax, but I more meant talent wise.
The last one I think Gearon would go into the tax for assuming we're sold Josh can play the 3.

Derrick Favors being involved kills it. It's one-sided for us, we dump Zaza and Marvin's contracts, and every GM in the league knows the ASG have been trying to do that for two years now. Utah is left with no value and two first round picks that have no value compared to the potential Favors has.

Re: Atlanta Hawks Official Trade Ideas Thread
Bogut's out indefinitely with a fractured injury. Can't call it a freak injury like the past. Looks like he officially has weak bones like Oden.
To be fair Leuer is the guy most needed. Or working Rasheed Wallace into the roster.
We KNOW we will need to go big come playoffs. Those drubbings that have Ivan and Josh jumping like pogo sticks and giving up and 1 plays and layups cant happen.
By playoffs we can hopefully have everyone healthy, bench Marvin for size and maintain shooting and defense with Rasheed:
Teague, Johnson
Josh Smith, Rasheed Wallace, Al Horford

I disagree with the bolded part. Why, because we got Teague and Josh both with picks that are technically late 1st rd picks. We could very well have the same type of pick that we had last year this year without Al. 16-20 is nothing to scoff at. Teague, Collison, Jrue Holiday all starting and all went between those picks. I agree though that they are probably not giving up Favors for that package, but his ceiling is not what some claimed either.

What makes you think the Kings would even consider this trade? It makes no sense for them to do it and they can acquire ACTUAL value for Cousins.
