I've long thought that the team would be better with JJ at SF. Even with KP height, Hawks are easily out muscled inside. The perimeter D remains a problem. Hoping for a top ten or even top fifteen D might be a longshot, but if the O can't be top five, this team will struggle

QS rotations are very strange

Not much has changed with Trae.....Ball is difficult to get inside the cylinder.

Brad Rowland dug into these numbers on his podcast. He states that this might be the most points in the paint ever allowed by an Atlanta Hawks Team.

Ever.

There's a massive difference between Capela and Porzingis when it comes to rim protection.

Last season Toronto 4th behind us at 3rd.

I found it to be impressive or Toronto but some of these numbers I tend to obsess over.

Once we become a better three point shooting team we won't have to rely on scoring inside as much.

With Dyson in foul trouble, you solve the height issue by playimg Vit over Wallace and Luke if he's not shooting. Not invariably worse defensively than them, great connector and just taller.

If Luke not gonna let it fly fir his great 40+% to matter, we might as well have kept GMat. :P . Trying to drive in the paint and turning the ball over is not why we got him.

:D

Game #1 was a real stinker. Tonight, we have the opportunity to feel a little better.

I just saw the highlights, the box score and read a bit.
It seems like running backwards was something we were not willing to do.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
