Trade CC. He's sunk cost just gonna sink more. A lot of fairly small trades happening out there like Gafford that we should have been in on.

Interesting.

Sunk cost, you say?

Is it your opinion that Capela's time here has been a bust overall?

Aren't you the one that was posting his team worst on/off stats? Isn't he very over paid? Are we going to trade him for nothing or even add say AJ or keep him another season and a half hugely over paid and a big part of the problem? The longer we wait, the more difficult to move him

1. Just getting a feel for your take on the situation.

2. Yeah, Clint's had an underwhelming season offensively. But I have to acknowledge his rebounding and rim protection are still above average and very useful in a playoff series. (Last night, I read a stat that the Celtics were 17/18 at the rim...in the first half of the game. That would not have been the case if Capela was playing.)

I am onboard with moving him CC trade. But i acknowledge that Okongwu will still need a top flight backup Center to share minutes with. So moving Capela midseason without getting a Center back would be shortsighted...

SideNOTE: Capela is a warrior on the court and a respected vet in the locker room. As frustrating as it is to watch him fumble perfect Trae passes and lobs, I still wish him the best and hope he ends up on a contender. Clint's a good dude that would flourish on Dallas, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Houston, Lakers.

It's simply past time to move on from this squad.

Now that the deadline is passed, I'm happy that some moves have not be done...

- last rumors of ATL talking with TOR for deal based mainly on Murray and Brown: Murray is taller than Brown, and I think this guy is overrated at this moment.
I've never saw his "super defense" as a SG and all advanced stats don't show me any positive impact.
The only thing that was creating a mismatch is when he played PG with DEN... so he would have been playing SG/PG like Murray?
Stupid idea

- PJ Washington: can really shoot, but most of the time has negative impact, the defense is not good with him
DAL did a mistake signing Williams, never understood why they signed him at this cost (and even free, I would not add him) after seeing BOS getting dominated each time he was on the floor last season.
Maybe they will get a bit more from Washington

I wanted him to improve the team in at least one area. I would have been happy with bench upgrades.

PJ should be much more productive for Dallas than Grant Williams was. One positive about PJ is his contract. I do agree, he was a negative impact for Charlotte, but that's possibly their teams culture.

A.J. Griffin $3,889,920
Mouhamed Gueye $1,891,857
10th Overall Pick $5,523,960
19th Overall Pick $3,499,800

2 things....
He went to Peachtree Ridge so I already dislike him.

I want to say if we do this deal, then the front office has to be cleared out, however Tony isn't going to fire his son. It is idiotic to trade Trae for slightly more than you sent for Murray.

Yeah, it'd be tough to see Landry survive this. Making it one of the shortest GM tenures in Hawks History.

Okongwu-Jalen-Vassell-Kobe is a decent start for a roster. But that group probably ain't getting past the Play-In without some major additions.

Bigger question, would Quin Snyder even want to stick around for a rebuild?

I cannot agree more. This getting the picks back talk is a real loser direction.
This owner and FO :nonono: - team building is hard and costly - you're either willing to put in the work and invest or not.
They are following the same path like they did with Dominique. Franchise players are hard to come by.

Depends on how much of a say he gets in the team construction. Are you building the team to fit his system or are you building the team to fit Nick ressler's basketballgm team?
