Huerter, Collins, now Hunter :nonono:.....and the biggest issue we haven't replaced their oncourt production in any way.

CLE can't absorb Hunter like that, they will to send at least around 15M, and their expiring contracts are very small ones (so need to send at least 3 or 4 players).
Once at more than 5M, all their players have at least this season + next season under contract, except Okoro (RFA)

I bet they would like to send Okoro+Niang which seems to not fit

ATL is the team that can absorb with the Collins TPE, not CLE

Coach Snyder made a poor choice to return to Atlanta to be the head coach. The front office and our ownership have underachieved greatly.

Hey, remember when we traded away Usman Garuba and Ty Ty Washington for Patty Mills in a salary dump...

Both of those guys (large, defensive wing and a turbo charged backup PG) would be fairly useful to us right now.

Hawks have 12 contracted players for next season at $163.2 million (does not include Bey). Add in the #8 and #21 picks we are getting close to the luxury Tax.

So we are over the salary cap by $22 million, but we are also under the Luxury Tax $8.8 million.

I've said before that I wish I could combine both players into one it would be ideal. Even just adding Bey's rebounding to Hunter helps.

I'd settle for just teaching Saddiq some effective Team Defense principles and attempting to use him like Bojan Bogdanovic in his Jazz days.

On a side note, dude is a surprisingly effective interior player.

It's been a great luxury having 2 starting caliber Centers o the roster.

If we move on from Capela this year, we have to get another above average backup 5.
My nominees are:

If accurate, this is a game changer. Having two elite isolation defenders who also pair well with Trae and each other.

:D

Bruno has blossomed while we await the recovery of Capela. He's been a great #2 center and he's still young. If Capela is traded, the Hawks should draft another center next summer.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
