meh...

It doesn't really effect the order. It just effects which teams are in the lottery.

Still waiting for the first time a team wins 45+ games.
Lands the 7th seed in the final standings.
But Loses two Play-In Games.
And then wins the Draft Lottery.

That'll be a dark day indeed.

Yeah, the NBA has messed up so much over the years. Today's no D, star calls, messed up lootery odds, three point spamming, bad reffing, player entitlement, cost of attending games, amount of profit for the association..... so much not to like

It is scandalous that the business of US sports is still (or ever was) gifted association tax free status. They need to change the name from NBA to NBC: National Basketball Conspiracy

I fear if we don't get it this year...it'll end up being the 2 2nds in 2026 and 2027.

Did Zion's hamstring just deliver Zach Edey to the Atlanta Hawks?!?

Would rather get the pick in 2025: stronger draft, better cap management, and greater likelihood of the guy getting legit minutes by his 2nd year.

Definitely would rather get the 25 pick. However in Atlanta fashion it will convey this year.

Probably works out better being a potential '25 pick since the protection drops to top 12. Kings likely end up in the same position again at minimum having Sabonis/Fox. So in the end, we have a FRP in '25 still.

I do wonder if Sacramento would actually offer us this year's draft pick, just so they could proceed to include future picks in trade.

Keep the pick for 2025, no point in having two rooks in the same class when the last two rooks could hardly get pt.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
