Talented prospect for the 2nd Round.
if we're looking for 2-way forwards, this is a solid guy to begin with.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft Thread
Since the #10 pick is the most likely outcome, I thought it would be helpful to look at the ten most recent #10 picks using Roland Beech's ranking categories (star, starter, rotation, bench, bust) to see where players were* by their third season:
Not a terrible group of players, for sure. Considering the expectation of a weaker draft this year, I think we should be expecting a guy who maxes out at ~20 min/game. I think that's around what teams would expect of guys like Filipowski and Knecht. If you wanted high variance, I think you go for the G League guys.
- Cason Wallace -- starter
- Johnny Davis -- bench
- Ziaire Williams -- rotation
- Jalen Smith -- rotation
- Cam Reddish -- bench
- Mikal Bridges -- starter
- Zach Collins -- rotation
- Thon Maker -- bench
- Justise Winslow -- rotation
- Elfrid Payton -- starter

Philadelphia needs to inquire about Trae Young.

Re: 2024 NBA Draft Thread
I know teams as bad as ours should never draft primarily 'for need'. You take the best player available and try to make it work.
But man, Tristan da Silva feels like a perfect need pick for us.
He isn't going to be anywhere as good, but he feels like a Klay Thompson type pick. An upperclassman with a modest ceiling but good tools and an elite skill to build around.
Most importantly, da Silva feels like a guy who can fit perfectly next to Trae or Jalen (or Dejounte) for years to come.
Think of him as a Cam Johnson/Kyle Kuzma caliber player. But with strong defensive principles.

- 6'10" Combo forward
- Elite Catch and shoot threat
- Moves will without the ball
- Strong team defender with the length to guard SGs/SFs/PFs

Yeah, both he and Holland look like they could play in a Quin Snyder up-tempo system.
Honestly, in this draft, the Hawks might end up just fine. It's the teams looking for on-ball guys who have to be depressed.

Even with Wallace and Bridges thats a bad group of prospects. W/o them it's horrific.

At least one and maybe 2 or 3 of those guys would get a bust rating from me given the #10 pick

Re: 2024 NBA Draft Thread
Knicks and Pels could be teams looking to trade a 20s FRP since they both have 2 FRP in this draft

If you've been impressed by Jaime Jaquez Jr.'s rookie season, check out Tristan da Silva.
Same position. Same build. But Tristan is a knockdown shooter to boot.
