Hawks get Robert Williams and Dangelo Russell

Lakers get Murray

Blazers get LA picks

Does Portland have another Robert Williams we don't know about?

 OK that was real good chuckle.

Hi Hawks fans, Warriors' fan here with some DJM questions.

How do you view Capela and his contract? Is he a positive or negative value?

Are you looking for an expiring contract/young player/FRP in a trade for DJM or are you looking for a player on DJM level?

How would you view and CP/Moody/Podz/FRP for DJM/Capela with maybe CP going to a third team trade?

Not that I'm disagreeing with my fellow Hawk fan - but do we really need two additional 6'-5" guards.

Rumors of More teams showing interest, good:

The Utah Jazz are being considered both a buyer and seller at this juncture, with ball-handlers Jordan Clarkson, Collin Sexton and Talen Horton-Tucker considered available for trade, sources said. And while the Jazz are confident in rookie Keyonte George’s fitness as their point guard of the future, the Jazz have also registered interest in several veterans, including Murray, sources said, to possibly hold the position in the interim.

Plus this:
When Miami traded Kyle Lowry and a 2027 protected first-round pick to Charlotte on Tuesday in exchange for Terry Rozier, that price point certainly added further context around discussions for backcourt playmakers between now and the Feb. 8 trade deadline.

“At least a first-round pick” has thus been described as the necessary compensation for the Washington Wizards to part with table-setter Tyus Jones, league sources told Yahoo Sports. The same goes for Portland to move on from guard Malcolm Brogdon and Toronto with recently acquired Bruce Brown Jr. — not a straightforward floor general, but Brown is surely a reliable ball-handler, fresh off a championship with Denver. The Hawks, sources said, are searching for two first-round picks and a starting-caliber player to part with Dejounte Murray, considered the premium lead guard option on the trade block.

Russell just does not have enough value league wide for the Hawks to be interested in that deal.

The Lakers have already tried to trade Russell for Murray. The two sides were close on a potential deal about two weeks ago, as I reported last week. Talks stalled, but are expected to resume ahead of the deadline. Murray remains the Lakers’ top priority on the trade market, according to multiple team and league sources not authorized to speak publicly. The Lakers believe Murray would provide similar offensive production to Russell, with obvious downgrades in 3-point shooting volume and playmaking. But Murray is the superior defender, athlete and penetrator, all qualities the Lakers need more of in their rotation.

If the Lakers have to move on from one of their lead guards, Russell makes more sense, even with him outplaying Reaves for portions of the season (the beginning, and then more recently). There’s a reason why every team asks for Reaves first: He has more leaguewide value. That perception extends to the Lakers, too, who ultimately value Reaves over Russell. Russell’s heater hasn’t changed that reality, according to team sources.
– via The Athletic

The Lakers view trades in which they move Russell for players like Portland’s Malcolm Brogdon, Washington’s Tyus Jones or Brooklyn’s Spencer Dinwiddie as lateral moves at best, and most likely downgrades, according to team sources. Murray is an exception, as previously stated.

With the Jazz potential interest...I'd take Simone Fontecchio plus the 2 firsts (at least 1 should be unprotected). They have a plethora of picks, their own, Cavs and Wolves.

Dejounte has been lashing out on social media the last few days.

Likely a tactic to force the Front Office to move forward with the trade.

(I'm surprised it took him this long.)

Honestly...I don't blame him.

He isn't wrong. Trae is too ball dominant and too stubborn to change his ways.

Playing with Trae Young doesn't seem to have many positives. He's going to run off any talent here and then request out himself.
