Motor questions be damned. ware has likely played himself into top-20 of the draft this season.

And having the ability to make one or two three pointers a game. He will need to have more attempts at the NBA level. While he's very talented he's only 6'10".

Walker Kessler 2.0

(Not sure if that's an insult or not.)

Definitely a guy worth taking a swing on with that Sacramento Kings pick.
He and Zvonimir Ivisic have the highest potential ceilings of maybe anyone in this draft...

Kessler is a clearly better defender as a prospect plus has health and stamina over Clingan but Clingan's athleticism and offense are far superior. I think he's gonna be a top 5 pick.

Interesting order, here.

No Oso, no Edey, no Kel'el?

Definitely a gamble worth taking outside the lottery.

Maybe even worth trading back into the 2nd round for...

NBA Draft Scouting Report

Cameroon's Ulrich Chomche

Forward | Cameroon
Height: 6'11” | Weight: 235 lbs
2024 Draft Age: 18.49

Chomche was born in Cameroon, with an incredible life story coming from a very small village to now being a legit NBA prospect. The 6-foot-11 forward is the youngest player eligible for the draft this year as he just barely reached the age restrictions, being born on Dec. 30, 2005. Overall it’s unclear if we will for sure see Chomche in the 2024 NBA Draft or not given he could still wait another year and gain more experience in a college system — or any other path to the NBA leading up to the 2025 NBA Draft.

Chomche played three games in the Basketball Africa League qualifying games where he averaged 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal per game while shooting 42.4% from the field, 38.1% from three and 75% from the free-throw line. What stands out about the stats is that he averages three blocks while shooting nearly 40% from three which indicates he has legit 3-and-D potential.

At 6-foot-11 with a 7-foot-4 wingspan he possesses elite physical tools for a forward. The physically gifted prospect also has great mobility and is very explosive making him one of the best all-around athletes in this year’s draft. With the athletic and physical tools he’s gifted it helps him make a significant impact on both ends of the floor and it will allow him to keep up with the many athletically gifted players in the league.

Chomche’s ceiling as a defender is extremely high. His mobility gives him the versatility to defend smaller players on the perimeter
plus the timing, vertical pop and length to alter a ton of shots inside the painted area

Offensively there are still some noticeable holes in his game and some areas he needs to polish up but the flashes are really, really impressive. As a finisher he uses all 6-foot-11 of him to finish efficiently. He’s a legit lob threat due to his wide catch radius, explosiveness and impressive vertical pop. At his size he has impressive shooting ability on great volume from three. In the three games he played he attempted 21 3-pointers and converted on 8 of those attempts.

The stretch big potential is evident and he has a chance to be the best shooting big in this draft that is 6-foot-11 or taller. What really makes him enticing on the offensive end are the playmaking flashes in the half-court. He shows the ability to be a good perimeter decision-maker with legit passing creativity. Chomche has really intriguing playmaking upside which could separate him from a ton of other big men in this year’s draft.

Chomche has a great mentor in two-time all-star and Chicago Bulls legend, Joakim Noah, who has roots in the African nation of Cameroon where Chomche was born. Having great guidance by his side will really help him find success at the pro level as long as he continues to work hard and learn every day.

How will Kel'el Ware's last games for Indiana be remembered?

Image

The 18-13 Hoosiers have won four straight entering the Big Ten tourney but are projected out of the tournament field. While it's been too little, too late in the context of their season, Ware has been playing the most productive basketball of his career in the past month or so, most recently logging 26 points and 11 rebounds against Minnesota last week and following it with 28 points and 12 rebounds against Michigan State on Sunday. The big knock on Ware from NBA scouts has always surrounded his inconsistent motor and lack of consistent competitive mettle, but he's started to at least produce like a first-round caliber talent and has likely earned himself money next season due to what he's shown.

Ware will likely have to show well in workouts and interviews to fully back up the season he's having, as teams try to figure out whether he's truly turned a corner. But in keeping with his recent performances, scouts will want to see him go out fighting. Ware is the type of long, mobile big that teams are often willing to roll the dice on and who often get long opportunities to stick in the league, and he's certainly talented enough to justify it. Finishing his season on a productive high note will help to back up his case.

A prospect for the 2nd Round of the Draft.

(Should we trade/buy our way into that round.)

Ware may have played himself into a lottery prospect.

Three centers I like the most are Filipowski, Ware and Edey.. especially Fili and Edey though. Absolutely want to come out of the draft with one of these guys

I suppose that I got to give Clingan some love too, but that FT% is too scary

Seems a decent chance that one of these guys will be drafted by the Hawks this summer:
