CHA is trash and likely to remain so, but kudos to Lee for getting the gig.

My assumption is he's done a good job in Boston this year.

Like a lot of guys about whom that can be assumed (Cassell, Holiday, even Van Gundy), he has done so under the radar without making a single ripple I can remember!

Very glad he's staying for the playoffs. Thought it was surprising and likely telling when that didn't happen with at least Mighty Mouse last year.

Guess Cassell would be promoted to his position and we hire someone for Cassell's current role

Maybe Posey, Sam Mitchell, Derek Fisher, Jacque Vaughn, Stephen Silas, Darvin Ham, Patrick Ewing, Juwan Howard or JJ Redick.

But more than likely, it'll be someone we've never heard of lol. Especially if we just bump each of our current assistants up a spot and just hire someone to be the lowest ranking assistant on staff..

Fisher and Howard are disgraced.
Redick is straight-to-head coach material.
Ewing = never he's the opposition
Ham is disqualified from being associated with the Lakers
Sam Mitchell and Stephen Silas are maybes? But maybe burned out and/or overqualified.
But Posey is THE ONE to me. Though if he were good at coaching maybe he'd be making more progress in his coaching career :reporter:

Bring Vogel home. He'd be a good addition to the coaching staff. I base that on nothing.

He's the top assistant? Does anybody know his specific role?

Why didn't we keep Lee and demote Joe to his assistant?

LOL. Joe, like Brad before him, wants Yes men on his staff rather than coaches with experience.

I'd like to see Sam Cassell as the Top Assistant.
