Maybe the Cavs are tired from seven games against the Magic. That first quarter was nuts, it felt like they were completely outmatched. Jaylen would get the ball and think “you’re guarding me with him?” That’s why he smokes the VC for me, he established right away that our guys individually are simply better, and took advantage of it. That’s playoff basketball.

Yeah, Tatum looked sluggish. On defense and in rebounding, that may have been deceiving, as he sort of ambled into great position to make plays. But if he was providing much gravity on offense, my sensors didn't pick it up.

Of course, even in a weak Tatum game he makes a bunch of good offensive plays.

Mitchell was great last night, but the one thing the Celtics did is they really made him work to get his. He hit a bunch of tough shots in the lane and really had to work without the ball to get free for some of his outside shots. It was clear in the 4th quarter that he had nothing left to give for the night and that’s when the Celtics were able to pull away for good. This should be the strategy for the rest of the series imo. Make Spida bust his tail for everything and anything. If Okoro or Mobley beat you then so be it

First time in NBA History that an all NBA player is treated like a role player.

To me, Garland and Mobley were the keys for Cleveland in this series, and Strus to an extent...Mitchell is on an absolute tear, he's scoring the ball really well. But if it's just him, and Garland/Strus provide nothing offensively and Mobley is ineffective, then it's basically 1v5 against them. And that should be an easy series for us.

It'll be interesting in game 2, I bet they try to get Garland going. Like BK said, he's a huge defensive liability against us, so he has to score to be playable (same w/Strus).

Wouldn't be surprised if we see Jarrett Allen in Game 2 as well

Those who really want to hold Tatum accountable, go to UCLA or Columbia University and protest there.

For sure that will get Jayson Tatum's attention.

Tatum's shooting woes is just like the flu, it will just subside after a while.

All this talk about the finals is premature.

People can post about Tatum's shooting or the finals or whatever they want.

Cavs didn't guard Tatum the same way the Heat did. So he wasn't drawing multiple guys the same way. If they keep that up, he should have plenty of chances to ring up big numbers in this series.
