What a disgrace

At least they found other ways to score with Joe calling great plays and not resorting to ISO

Joe is a choker! He waits till they tie and Thn calls time out! Coward piece of Sh***t. This is one of the example how we we will choke under his coaching in playoffs

disagree, Has the media, or the Boston media I mean, ever ask Joe a tough question?

He's probably talking about news radio. They will crucify Joe tomorrow (they need listeners, so it's their thing).

As far as questions, Washburn is going to be lying in wait for Joe with his "live and die by the three" storyline.

Don't kid yourselves, Joe Mazzulla is a **** tier coach and that makes us entirely beatable.

In the fly-by-night, 3 games in 4 days nature of the regular season, this often gets obscured. The only times coaching even matters is at the end of games and in the playoffs, and Joe has looked consistently hapless in either. Pretty much every time a team can make it a close game late, we struggle. And it is not a fluke. Ball movement, gone. Iso iso iso iso iso, with no set plays and our stars holding the ball before driving into traffic.

Tonight notwithstanding, we are too much offensively for bad teams, but that's not who you play deep in the playoffs. When we get to playing the top teams with the top coaches in the real games, Joe's inability to make any adjustments or even call plays will be a major weakness.

Maybe we can still overcome it, but this team not the favorite or the powerhouse that many seem to think.

This guy is GARBAGE.

That is all.

Celtics blew a 22 point Q1 lead and 30 point lead with 4 1/2 minutes to go in the 1rst Half. Playing without Derrick White or Jrue Holiday, the Celtics got stymied by sub-par games from Porzingis and Sam Hauser. Negated a brilliant performance by Jayson Tatum and an improving presence from Payton Pritchard. Al went 36, which is more than he is normally useful for, but he was his normal self. Mykhailiuk played well for him, but he couldn't make up for the loss of two starters in the face of TORRID 3 point shooting by the Opponent. Got bit on this one. Sometimes I wonder if Trae Young had played would the Celtics have pulled this one out, but there was no Derrick White or Jrue Holiday to post him up or defend him. So it goes ... you lose one you would never expect to. Hawks shot 18-36 from 3 (50%) and 52.3% overall which will do it. Celtics shooting 13-19 from Charity Stripe (68%) didn't help them tonight. 15-19 would have gotten them to overtime. Pritch was 0-2 and Brown 2-4. Yikes, we depend on these guys to make those Free Throws.

Celtics only had 7 Turnovers (Yay) but only grabbed 38 Rebounds (Yuk). 11-38 from 3 for Celtics vs 18-36 for Hawks. That did it.

An alternative view:

Pts + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed Field Goals - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+33.5 Jayson Tatum 39 minutes

+16.5 Jaylen Brown 37 minutes
+15.5 Payton Pritchard 28 minutes
+14 Al Horford 36 minutes
+13 Kristaps Porzingis 33 minutes

+7.5 Svi Mykhailiuk 11 minutes
+5 Sam Hauser 27 minutes
+4 Luke Kornet 10 minutes

+1.5 J. Springer 8 minutes
+1.5 Oshae Brissett 11 minutes

Team Total = 114.5

This team, this season, hasn't needed to be clutch because it's been destroying teams left and right. You're showing up after a game once in a blue moon to post this? I guess you won't be allowed in the RealGM duckboat in June.

Guys when your two starting point guards are out it probably makes sense for your offense to look less than ideal.

That was annoying and we sucked for sure but burn the tape and move on. I seriously wanted the win just to shut the ATL announcers up more than anything lol.

Clutch is something you learn through experience.

Just take the case of Lebron.

Even in 2011 Lebron and the Heat choked after leading the series 2-1 against the Mavs.

Let the Jays fail enough, in the clutch, and they'll eventually figure it out.

Yeah, the Cs really needed Jrue or White in the last 5 minutes of the 4th.

The Jays, as great as they are, they're not PGs.

This is worse than the 20 point blown lead in the second half to the Cavs recently.
A 30 POINT BLOWN LEAD.

MORON JOE W NO TOs DURING A 30-3 RUN. DON’T JUST FIRE HIM - **** CASTRATE HIM.

TATUM & 7 BOTH WERE ABSOLUTE PUKE DOWN THE STRETCH.
OF COURSE MORON 7 MISSES CRITICAL FTs AGAIN.
THEY ARE NOT LEADING THIS TEAM TO A CHIP.
NO CONFIDENCE IN THEM WHATEVER. **** THEM.

THEY SHOULD BE 58-14 & CELEBRATING HCA IN THE ECF RIGHT **** NOW & INSTEAD WE GET THE PUKE WE JUST SAW.

**** THIS.

Easy to blame Joe, but when DeJounte got hot and we were missing our two best perimeter defenders in Jrue and Buffalo, it's perhaps understandable.

Still i would much rather lose by 30 than give up a 30 point lead.

Tatum and Pritchard are the only players who get a pass from me tonight.

My twitter timeline is full of trolls enjoying this loss way too much FML

Telling me I can't enjoy the championship because I only show up when they blow huge leads isn't really a joke.

It's a flaw of the Celtics. Not my fandom.

You didn't see me in here gloating at their 30 point lead because there's nothing to gloat about. It's to be expected.

They deserved the criticism tonight just like they did against Cleveland.
