Not too shabby. But, I wonder if he can translate that into at least being a 3rd PG, at the NBA-level?

Davison does some things really well and shows reasons for a coach to put him on the floor, which is why he's still around. He's short, but his arms are long. He's very fast and athletic. Getting stronger will help with defense. He does have a decent frame.

Like all small guards he's got to play adequate defense and become a steady three point threat, so that higher percentage from three to this point is a big deal.

The good: 2nd in the league in assists, 10th in scoring, and 8th in efficiency. The bad, 5th in turnovers. All this is based on being a central focus though, which he won't be in the NBA.

He might or might not make it. If the Celtics don't give him a chance, someone else will.

Woah that no look pass by Peterson got me hard haha. That was sick. On time, on target, good vision and throws off the defense by making the pass while looking the other way. Trying hard to not bring up the name Larry Bird when when watching that pass haha..

JD has accomplished as much as he could with the G League at this point. Not sure if he can be an NBA rotation piece, but he needs to be giving a chance with some NBA team to find out.

It doesn't really work that way. JD is an employee of the Celtics. It doesn't really matter if he "deserves" a chance. All that really matters is whether the team he's employed by his minutes to give him.

We don't owe JD anything. This isn't a charity. We're trying to win a banner. We drafted JD, he's employed by the Celtics, we're developing him so that hopefully maybe one day he can help us win games and get closer to a banner. End of story.

Also, it seems like a bit of a reach to say "JD has accomplished as much as he could with the G League at this point." He has never won a G league championship, he's never won a G league MVP. Never even made 1st team all G league.

He had a pretty good season in the G last season (some issues with turnovers, 3 pt shooting and defense, though) and this season (while the uptick in 3 FG% is certainly encouraging) the season is only 15 games in, it's still very early in the season. And it looks like turnovers and defense are still issues..

Not happy seeing Drew going 0-4 from 3.. But it happens.. But am happy seeing 10 rebounds and 5 asts.. Tells me he is doing other things besides just shooting/scoring. Still have not watched him play a game since joining. Have no idea what level his defense is/could be..

Celtics now 2-0 in the regular season after another win against Oklahoma. They play against Denver's affiliate team tonight.

Lots of good stuff from the Celtics two ways in the boxscore and the highlights.

Jordan Walsh: 23 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks
JD Davison: 17 points, 10 assists, 5 steals
Drew Peterson: 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 threes (on 8 attempts)
Queta: DNP (with the main club until further notice)

Peterson is looking not to shabby.
Could all of our 3 x Two-Ways help the Boston Celtics, next Season?

Only two legitimate players on the Maine team:
Peterson and Walsh that's it.
Both look like legitimate NBA players and Peterson has the size 6-9 the skills rebounding and passing and the ability to hit 3 pointers.

Walsh it seems like the prototype small forward, could be a little quicker, shoot a little better, and do things more smoothly but defensively he's fine and an NBA player in time.

Davidson is an nba guard. Shooting guard over 40 from 3. Terrific ball handler and playmaker and athletic. Him and Walsh should be on the team next year

They were like our Play-In Games.
They just do it a bit differently.

They counted towards the showcase cup standings. Unfortunately the Celtics just missed the cut to get to the knockout stage of the showcase. Now we are into the regular season. Just think of those first 15ish games as a giant in season tournament that doesn't count towards the final standings.

Oh noes he's not. Turn over prone and bad D -so worse than the current Celtics guards. Yam Madar, now he's an NBA player. May not happen in Boston, but he is definitely an NBA player and that's not Davidson. Does Davidson match any of the Celtics guards profiles? They all can shoot and defend and that is not Davidson.
