I want to watch Maine games really bad to keep an eye on my binkie Walsh.
But I DESPISE watching Davidson and Steward jacking 37% of the teams shots.

JD is averaging 24 a game on far better efficiency than Walsh? On top of 9 assists lol.
We want JD being aggressive offensively, anyways.

Hopefully, the Celtics will dump the poor man's Ish Smith soon. Davidson is not an NBA player; someday people may learn that he has a terrible handle. He's prone to turnovers he's not a good shooter and he's just a ball hog at times

Ish Smith is in his 14th year in the NBA. That's a great outcome if you can turn a two way player into that kind of contributor.
JD Davison is averaging 10.8 points in the paint so his "terrible" handle certaibly doesn't prevent him from getting to the rim.
JD Davison has a 11.6 TOV%. As a reference point, the G-League team with the lowest TOV% is the Delaware Blue Coats at 13.8. So he's pretty good at taking care of the ball considering his offensive load actually.
JD Davison has the highest AST% in the entire G-League (min. 4 games), that's an odd way of hogging the ball.
Let me know if you have other fake news you need me to debunk.

We shall see, we shall see. I do not think it is fake news. What I think is that he's a flawed ball player where everything has to go right for him to make a big positive impact I mean, it could happen you could be right I could be foolish and I don't disagree but I would not put my hopes on JD Davidson leading the Celtics to anything special and I said a poor man's Ish Smith.
Unfortunately, where I am at the moment, in the hospital, it makes it difficult to sometimes render quality opinions or more solid looks at situations, items places people, and so forth.
Personally, I just have never trusted Davidson. I am a much bigger fan of Yam Madar fan who I think can actually play in the NBA and contribute to the Celtics...

Davison's small and he can't shoot. That's a fatal combo. It won't matter how well he can dribble or push the ball, since the defense can just sit 6 feet back and have the time to defend him.

Yam is trash, not an nba player. JD could be a third pg, or be nothing, but either way, it’s not going to happen here for him lol, same for Walsh. I’d expect them to be packaged with Pritchard at the deadline.

Shooting form looks nice ^
Keep working, Jordan. You'll be a contributor for us next season.

I was just thinking I wish this guy could get some playing time. Theoretically, if he ended up being a useful NBA player then that would be just perfect.

He's still a little flail-y on his shots (and spastic in general), but seems to be benefitting from the consistent PT.
He also has the nice Derrick White style blocks from behind. With his wingspan he should be able to get a ton of those.

It's the flailing that makes me feel like he wouldn't be able to stay on the court for the big ball club, but given Brad's desire for a "big wing" I can't help but want to see him try.
His ability to get in passing lanes and challenge with his length is tantalizing. Given that we wouldn't need him to score or handle the ball at all, if he could manage to stay on the court and be a menace defensively that feels like the perfect deadline addition.
Don't think he's ready, but still curious to see him try just for sh*ts and giggles.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for rookies in general, and Walsh was who I wanted us to pick going into the draft. I'd love to see him on the big club getting at least 15 mpg, but I don't see where those minutes come from. And if you can't get them consistently, it's not worth it. So, ultimately I'm fine giving him reps and letting him build the body and fight for a spot next camp.

The Celtics are keeping Walsh in Maine so he can win ROY next year.
