The Jeff Green prediction thread

Post#1 » by John Locke » Sun Jul 22, 2012 5:41 pm

Hey guys,

Let's put our prediction for Jeff Green's season in this thread, and than we can come back to it over the course of the season, and see if we're good fortune tellers.

My Prediction:

30-32 mpg
16 ppg
5.5 rpb

Steals, blocks and assists will be around 1-2 per game - like is usual for a player in his position.

He will shoot very closely to the 50% mark, maybe even better.

After the ASG his game will take off and he will peak in the playoffs.

He will play a lot of minutes at the PF position, and probably close out games. Will probably come off the bench.

I'm thinking 13 and 6. He will explode for 20+ a couple of games but I doubt he averages 16. Garnett didn't even average 16 this season.

I think he will break out and play extremely well. I have a very good feeling about his season.

agree.
IMO he'll average 10 and 5....not exactly the stats you would expect from a 8mln/yr player....
he's just too skinny

Something like 11 or 12 points and five or six rebounds per game. There is too much depth on this team for him to do much more. The statistics will be distributed pretty evenly across the board on this team, in my opinion.

I disagree. I think the offense will be very different this year. Less half court offense and more running, more possessions. Green may average about 17 and 6. Pierce may average about 18 a game. KG will get to about 13 or 14 with 7 rebounds and play about 28 mins a game. Bass will get to 12 or 13 with 6 rebounds a game. And Rondo will average 14 assists a game. To go along with a Terry's 11 a game and Lee's 8 a game, I think we will score points more easily than we have in the last 4 years.

I second everything in Locke's OP. Sound about right to me.

We won't really need him to score more than 14 a game with our depth. The offense will still run through Pierce and KG. I think he'll score about 11 a game off the bench.

Why not? We're all just throwing numbers out there... I'll mark this and check back later this season
