BTW, I think we still haven't seen the best of Green. They said he won't be a hundred percent 'til March. And if we look at his performance as evidence, as his condition gets better, he plays better.
Then, we're about to see his best these remaining games. Not too bad entering the playoffs.

I'd actually like to see Wilcox start instead of Bass. He gets tons of easy buckets; never seems to miss in the paint and promotes more of a running game alongside KG. Probably won't happen but I think it's worth a try.

Hey wow, at least Green played a whole 3 minutes more than Bass.
Bass still started, though. So: FAIL.
(Wins/losses are inconsequential to this matter.)

34 to 20, yay! And while Bass started, Green did finish, and oh how so. I'll take it. Thanks Doc, kind of!

He decision making is still horrid. Maybe last year this was acceptable with Rondo just feeding him the ball when he needed to shoot and do no more.

I think we'll be seeing more of this especially in the Playoffs.

In the playoffs Green @ the 4 will probably be necessary, but I don't think it's a good idea to have JG get pounded nightly by guys like David West. I like that we're asking him to do more, and that he is delivering, but let's keep him in a position to succeed. The sad fact is, we almost have to play Bass at this point. One of the China guys could maybe displace him if Wilcox also moves ahead of him, but that all seems unlikely.

Sadly, neither CW or the China guys, have his mid-range J.

We're okay with starting Bass, so Green can come off the bench and give us some staggered scoring. But I'm sure we'll see Green finish the games. And as they say, it's about who finishes the games.

Bass is missing Rondo. Rondo needed an automatic shooter as an outlet when he drove to the basket. I still like Bass for his defense. They guy is more mobile than most PFs and is an excellent help defender. I believe in him. He proved he can play better last year and he probably will get back to that point by the time the playoffs start even though he doesn't get as many easy looks as he did when Rondo was playing.

It doesn't make sense to start Green at the four because they need him on the floor when Pierce sits I agree with the minutes but you don't want Bass and Wilcox trying to carry this team for stretches. When they are the floor together someone mentioned Pierce guarding the 4 and I don't think that is a bad idea at all if the size match up isn't ridiculous even at that if it is bad for Paul it will be bad for Green.

The match up zone with Paul/KG/Green/Terry/ and either Lee or Bradley seems to be working pretty well also. Guards are rebounding better and Terry is less exposed as a turnstile and he can grab some steals.

Yeah tonight proved once and for all Green should be a starter.

Bradley-Lee-Pierce-Green-KG
Crawford-Terry-Wilcox-Bass

Pierce-Green-KG frontcourt is unstoppable. Let Bass beat up on Heats scrub bench bigs.

Doc will never do it, but it should be this way. Green needs 35-38 minutes a night. Bass gets whatever is left behind him and splits whatever is left behind KG with Wilcox.

Doc shouldnt ignore this but he will because he is a stubborn person.

Just imagine if we had KG tonight, this game wouldve been a huge win for us with Green's contribution. Bass should come of the bench.

He proved himself against the best team in the NBA, dont make a fool out of yourself Doc and start Green on 4.

I've been on board with keeping Bass, but i now firmly believe it's time to start Green. Bass isn't working with the starters, and could very well become playoff BBass on the bench. As for Green, no starting 4 can handle him. The Scolas, Haslems, Battiers, Aldriges, etc are not going to be able to stop him. As someone pointed out, he has done a good job boxing out and keeping his opponent off the boards. Time to start him.

Bradley / Terry
Lee / Crawford
Pierce / Green
Green / Bass
Garnett / Wilcox

Needs to be the rotation. Still plenty of minutes to be had for Bass off the bench.

Doc's gonna take a lot of heat if Jeff comes off the bench again in lieu of Bass (or anybody else for that matter) after a game like this.
