#Celtics have hired Leon Powe for a community/player related position. His exact role TBD. #Celticstalk

Leon Powe said he is using this as chance to get foot in door. Will be helping Danny Ainge, watching #Celtics practice, doing media as well.

Celtics have hired Leon Powe into the front office. Position still to be defined. "Whatever Danny wants me to."

Who could forget his game 2 performance in the Finals? It's a shame his knees could not hold up to extend his playing career.

Good for him, Powe seems like a legit nice guy.

He's a good guy and was a pretty useful player. He was going to have a long career as a backup big, if it wasn't for his knees being shot.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

This brings back memories and reminds me how nasty our team was back then.

Hope he does well. :D

If Leon Powe's knees had never been hurt, it is highly unlikely he would have entered the league with the Cs, unless we had the first or second pick overall. Before he had two major knee reconstructions, in high school, he was considered the next Bernard King. Or better yet, an offensive Bernard King and a defensive Dennis Rodman.

Glad the Cs have him; everything suggests he is an impressive young man.

There's a reason this sig hasn't changed in seven years. Really don't feel the need to elaborate.

The hype of him being labeled a 'good guy' is thoroughly deserved. Happy for him.

He's a great story and was a phenomenal role player on that championship team. Really classy move by the organization to give Leon an opportunity like this.

Really happy to hear this, exactly the type of person that is perfect to represent the Boston Celtics

Love Leon but damn this makes me feel old, and sad that his playing days are absolutely (long since) over. How old is he??

One of the easiest guys to root for, in all of sports, for as far back as I can remember. I'm glad he's part of the organization.
