Celtics Media Day

Post#1 » by FlatearthZorro » Mon Sep 29, 2014 6:07 pm

I didn't see a thread, so this can be it.

Rondo is on the stage now. Again being sarcastic with journalists, but serious at times.
Good assessment:

Rondo and Danny seem to have pretty good relationship, Rondo said Danny was pretty straight forward with him and always answers his phone when Rajon calls him.

Stevens is all praises for smart. He said that Smart is physically and mentally ready.

He also said that Smart would have a lot of off ball opportunities.

Turner could be a great stop gap for minutes at the 1 while rondo is out

I'm really excited to see how Stevens splits out the PG duties between the Smart and Turner. I think both should actually complement each other well.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Danny just called Zeller a "270 lb guy". No way. He played around 240 last year, lower than his listed 250 since he had his apendix out in preseason or something.

So even if Zeller gained 15-20 lbs this summer, that's still only 255-260.

Dude, Trash looks stoned as **** ... :D Hahahah He always looks stoned tho, so nothing new.

I can't even understand what he's saying most of the time.

Has Turner already made his stage appearence ? My net went down for a lil bit.

Good insight from Stevens on his offensive outlook, keywords being "Pace and Aggression and Details". Also explained how his ideal offense would be reads with multiple options off the read at a high pace. Similar to the Spurs, where for the most part the players are making the decisions on the fly....
