Warriors game tonight

Post#1 » by Green89 » Sun Jan 25, 2015 8:11 pm

Didn't see a game thread yet.

Smart is missing the game with a death in the family. We could have used his D tonight.

I'm hoping Thompson follows up his 52 point game with a 4 for 22 shooting night. It may be our only hope.

I feel confident in saying that Parliament will still come through with the game thread. He always does.

Sucks that Smart won't be playing tonight but family is more important. He's the only reason I watch as many games as I do

It would have been hard to hang with Curry and Thompson with Smart playing. Gonna be that much harder without him. I'd expect to see a lot of Pressey tonight in his place. Best bet for the Celtics is that the Warriors play a disinterested game and the Celtics are able to hang around. After the last two wins, this is a nice challenge for the Celtics. Even with a loss, the next two are winnable at Utah and at Minnesota. A 4-2 road trip would have been unfathomable a couple of weeks ago.

I'd like to see some James Young tonight. He can guard Thompson. guy will score anyway.

Wow. Just noticed the GSW is -18 favorites tonight. That is a LOT of points. Vegas obviously sees a blowout coming.

I was going to say: "Best offensive backcourt vs best defensive backcourt!", but no Smart tonight. Darn, that would've been fun to see our guys at least _try_ to defend GSW's backcourt :)

That would be a hard bet to cover IMO....I'd take the points....

They will likely rest some guys.....and play the bench more...especially Lee who has been out allot....

We tend to play well from behind too....

That would be a good bet....

I agree. And the Celtics haven't been blown out much this year. They've been in just about every game.

Is Young even with the team out there?

They sent a couple of players back to Portland....

The last time Golden State won by less than 13 at home was on December 18th vs OKC which really explains why the Celtics are 18 point underdogs despite winning 2 in a row. Golden State have basically just been blowing out teams. If Smart was playing I might take the 18 points since perhaps he contains one of the Warriors perimeter threats but if the Celtics try to run with this team and Golden State doesn't rest players, it could get really ugly.

I would prefer the Celtics 41-1 home record not to be tied by Golden State -- my 2nd favorite team but its a distance 2nd -- so this is one of those games I will be rooting for the Celtics even though I think it is a lost cause.

Well the Warriors have been blowing out a lot of teams at home. I believe their average margin of victory at home over their last 10 games is close to 14 points.

I feel Pressey is our only player that can stay with Curry.

I hope we see Pressey and Shavlik play 20 minutes or more tonight.
