Good catch. They are now 35.5. I think they may be down 1 win today.

Bucks will be right in the thick of that mess. Knicks' line gets inflated by optimistic NY fans too I'd bet.

Knicks are 39.5 and Bucks are 37.5.

I think the Kings could be really bad, especially if Gay is traded.

I think lotto-wise my ranks are sort of;

most likely bottom 3-5

LA
Philadelphia
Brooklyn

have a chance to be better but not likely, and 0 chances at the PO too

Phoenix
Milwaukee
Chicago

little chance of making the PO but it's not entirely up to them

Orlando
Sacramento
Miami
New Orleans

teams that would likely end up with the short end of the stick but have a real shot at the PO

Denver
New York
Minnesota
Dallas

I expect a really weak East with maybe 6 teams only above 50%.

In a simpler way;

LA
Philadelphia
Brooklyn
Phoenix
Milwaukee
Chicago
Orlando
Sacramento
Miami
New Orleans
Denver
New York
Minnesota
Dallas

I think Miami could be way lower if they wanted to go for the Draft, not sure if they will, and Dragic, plus their wing defenders, plus Whiteside should be good enough to win 35 or so, they could move Goran and tank ofc, since their pick situation is dicey with 2 picks going to PHX, non-protected.

New York is the only team out of the East that I think will battle for the PO, the other 6 have virtually not shot, and the favourite 8 are heavy ones for me to make it barring a big injury.

Dallas, Minnesota and Denver could all be really close all year long, I got them all missing the cut for different reasons but they are gonna be quality, solid teams I think, New Orleans comes next and could be at that level but with Holiday out due to his wife sickness lord knows for how long, it's tricky to see them there.

Seems like a plain season to me, the battle for home field advantage between Charlotte and Detroit in the East and Utah and Portland in the West, maybe Memphis or Houston could join that fry, it's the most interesting for me, Boston should finish ahead of Detroit and I honestly think Utah might be as high as 2nd, and a lock for the top4 in the end, but gotta be cautious until we see them been that good for sure.

Ya I really feel for the kid. Hes no longer in contention as a top 5 pick, the question now is, will he even risk playing at Duke and will someone take him in the 1st round still.

Giles is probably better off staying in school for a second year. Huge difference between top 5 money and mid to late first money. 10-20 million dollar difference

I think just the opposite. His knees are really bad, he cant stay healthy at all. If im him I dont risk playing 1 second in college with a chance of getting hurt again. I sit out and heal up and focus on just trying to get one NBA contract. One more major injury a team wont even look at him, I bet there are a lot of teams right now that wouldnt waste a 1st round pick on him

I totally agree. If your Giles an for you can get a Guaranteed contract, no way you pass it up. Otherwise you have to work for a living.

Yeah. For most of us, the practical difference between [no money] and [a couple mil] is a heck of a lot bigger than [a couple mil] and [a couple hundred mil].

Well Giles is out of contention for us unless the Nets exceed expectations this year.

Dennis Smith Jr. Or Josh Jackson for me.
Handsome.

We've got top ten players starting at every position except power forward and we've got interesting youngsters behind them: Zizic (next year), Brown, Smart, and Rozier. MAYBE Kelly could slide into the # ten power forward slot behind Porzingis (the Loul Deng, Tristan Thompsan range?) but that's best case. And I don't have the same expectations for Yabs that I do Zizic. So yeah, a healthy Giles would have been fantastic for this team.

Very early, but its looking like another small forward or a point guard in the draft. I'm assuming we get one of Jackson, Tatum, Fultz, or Smith. Not that I'm complaining. Add any one of them to Zizic and Yabs and our rookie class next year is out of sight.

So the guy who has two torn acls is now having knee surgery. And he's ranked #3 on Draft express and they knew about his two torn acls?

drafting is weird/hard.

bummer about Giles, was hoping he would be able to play...its been a long time for this kid.

Luckily the Cs don't even need any more guys.
Jackson and Fultz seem potentially special. Tatum looks good, Smith too, but I don't want any more short guards. interesting big fellas in the mid lotto range.

none of those guards are short though. Smith is taller than all of ours except Smart. Any of those guards are and upgrade and potential star. However, DA seems stubborn about his previous draft picks so drafting a PG, even if elite and a potential superstar, would mean admitting he drafted poorly in the past. No team with a 5'9" starting PG is going to win the championship. It's a fun team to watch and will be successful but come playoffs IT becomes a major liability. Many know this which is why so many of us were calling for Celtics to draft Kris Dunn who is 6'4" and elite defensively. If Danny wasn't going to take a PG of his ilk I seriously doubt he'll do it next year. That situation is my biggest fear going forward, that Danny overvalues our guards and passes on a superstar because of it. Next year's draft is about the PG and 2018 the big men. I have a sinking feeling DA will force a big man with BK17 and screw it all up, that is if he doesn't trade both picks away which is probably the most likely scenario

Smith is shorter than Rozier, and Bradley and has a much smaller wingspan than both. I think he is a solid prospect but I would bet tons of cash that he is never as good as IT....
