What kind of name is "red ants"? :o p

They were the Ft. Wayne Mad Ants to begin with before moving down closer to Indy this season. The Mad Ant name comes from the “Mad Anthony” nickname of General Anthony Wayne that Ft. Wayne, Indiana is named after. I think this year they play home games in the Pacers regular arena until they complete a new basketball complex in a Northeast suburb of Indy. Not sure if they’ll be called the Noblesville Mad Ants next season when they move into that or the Indiana/Indianapolis Mad Ants.

Fun fact… Ft. Wayne is considered the birthplace of the NBA as it’s where the negotiations to merge the NBL and BAA to form the NBA occurred. The Pistons were first from Ft. Wayne as well.

I was at the game yesterday - first time this year. Peterson is slight but crafty. He had some really nice finishes in the paint with great touch. Nice stroke. On defense he’s a bit of what other NBA teams think Hauser is - someone you can iso and overpower. Hauser has proven that idea wrong. Peterson has a ways to go.

I was excited to see Walsh play live. He was a real disappointment. He let the refs live rent free in his head and his body language was awful. It was the opposite of what I expected after seeing interviews out of camp this preseason. I hope this was a one-off phenomenon, because his attitude today looked like it could be a real barrier to his growth.

It looked like Davison tweaked his ankle in the 2nd quarter. He favored it for much of the game.

It was fascinating to see Elfrid Payton and Jordan Bell playing for the Mad Ants. I thought they’d dominate, but both had pretty pedestrian performances.

Trying to read into body language is pointless.

Hmm pretty sure this is not the first sentiment like this I've seen. Some ego issues there seems like.

Davison and Peterson do well at the G League level.
Would be nice to see them get some minutes in an NBA game.

Sioux Falls seems like such a strange place for Miami to have its affiliate team. Not exactly a convenient commute if you need to call a guy up. Seems like Naples or Ft Myers would make a lot more sense.

Can't recall where but I read a while back that they specifically picked somewhere remote with few distractions so that their guys focus on basketball.

The Maine Celtics lost a close game against Chicago's affiliate team on Wednesday. Peterson was ice cold but Davison ended with a near triple double. JD is now 4th in total points, 2nd in total assists and 6th in total FTA in the G-League this season (regular season + showcase combined).

JD Davison: 24 points (8/18 shooting), 7 rebounds, 12 assists
Drew Peterson: 5 points (2/10 shooting), 5 rebounds (3 offensive), 5 assists
Jordan Walsh: with the Boston Celtics
Neemias Queta: with the Boston Celtics

Easy twenty point win versus Cleveland's affiliate team.

JD Davison: 22 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists
Drew Peterson: 16 points (4/8 from three), 8 rebounds, 4 assists
Jordan Walsh: 12 points (5/9 shooting), 7 rebounds, 4 assists
Neemias Queta: with the Boston Celtics

High level motivation to hit the big club lol. Haven’t seen a girl in a swim suit in months type hustle.

still kind of surprised that Tony Snell is just playing for the Maine Celtics, not making any sort of impact, but as an aging basketball player myself (extremely low level to start with) I get it

They weren't going to take him, at first.
Then he called back and made a point to say, that he'll take a backup role.
