Maine comes back to win by a point. Walsh had a career high 27 and won the game at the free throw line at the very end. Queta played limited minutes due to foul trouble. He actually fouled out with about 7 minutes left, but the call was overturned which was a big deal. Had he sat down then, they would not have won.

Maine gets the 2 seed and a first round bye in the playoffs. If they lost they would have been a 3 to 5 seed somewhere.

The Not-Red-Claws really miss Davison.

Walsh has improved by getting a lot of minutes for Maine. He's added a fancy footwork sidestep three, which is important as he projects as a 3 and D and throw it down guy.

The Texas TV announcer said something like, "If Boston wasn't so good Walsh would be playing a lot for them." -Though that announcer was seeing Walsh play his best game.

With Davison and Steward injured, Peterson is forced into playing the point and does do some things well with that responsibility, but gets a ton of turnovers. He's had seven often ugly TOs in each of his recent two games running the show.

Queta misses Davison on offense. Half or more of his looks last night came from putbacks as he rarely was set up. Queta did make a nice 10 foot floater. The big guy is also developing, and probably will gradually start to diversify his offense away from solely right at the basket. There's potential for a very good NBA player there.

Not having JD and DJ Stewart certainly gave Walsh more opportunities. I hope JD can come back for the playoffs. But despite playing well this season, I'd rather not have DJ. Takes too many shots away from Walsh and Peterson IMO.

BEST NBA potential, for me, in no order for Boston is, Walsh-Queta-Peterson-JD..

Gritty win for Maine with virtually no ball handlers available. It would be great if at least one of Springer, Davison and Steward could be back in time for the playoffs.

Boston has Home Games on the 3rd & 5th.

Looks like 6th Seed, Delaware Blue Coats, are going to be our Matchup. They lead by 20, in the 4th Qtr.
Blue Coats are the Returning Champions (2023); and have been in the Finals 3 years in a row.

Drew Carter (from Boston Celtics Away Games) is calling the Game.

Davison may play tonight. Steward is listed as questionable. Delaware features the very athletic Ricky Council who scored 16 points on 6-8 shooting in 19 minutes against the Boston Celtics in late February.

Two-way guard JD Davison has been the engine that’s made it all go this season, averaging 20.8 points, 8.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game in his second full year with the Maine Celtics. But he sprained his left ankle last week in a game against the College Park Skyhawks, and his status tonight is uncertain. Sources told CelticsBlog it’s possible he could return from a week-long absence in time for the first postseason game.

With the Celtics off tonight, some players and members of the organization are again expected to make the trip to support the G League affiliate and teammates Walsh, Queta, Davison, and Peterson.

Damn. We got issues.
Hope that one of our PG's can show up. Peterson has been handling the duties. But he's a SF/PF by nature.

That's good. Maine is a fun team at full strength and Queta will get more looks with a point guard running the show. I hope Davison isn't hobbled.
