No one hates Lee yet but wait until he becomes headcoach.

Have you seen Charlottes previous head coaches? They are going to worship him after what they've been through.

I am as bitter and disappointed by game 2's loss as anyone. But the amount of hate and hyperbole Joe gets (not just on here but on twitter) is really inexplicable to me.

The players couldn't score a 3 to save their lives when the game was won and lost, Mitchell played like an MVP and without Porzingis there, we got exploited in the paint..

How can Joe be blamed for a couple of those points (esp poor shooting) ?

Some of our big name players need to take some responsibility and accountability.

Read on Twitter

They listen to the media and talking heads too much. His uber-defensive, ultra-sensitive demeanor rubs off on his players. Why don't they just hang around on RealGM so they'll be showered with all glowing remarks and unending praise??!

That's actually a good thing for Joe.

If the players like his style and the way he handles things, he's not getting fired.

Giannis didn't like Griffin and Griffin didn't even make All-Star weekend.

This is definitely true but if he gets within about five games of .500 and loses a play-in game he’ll also be a genius

Because it's the coaches job to get the team to lock in defensively. Defensive intensity is something that can be replicated every single night whether the shots are falling or not. Joe cares more about being friends with the Jays than holding anyone accountable.

Joe is just being smart.

Holding anyone accountable and ending up losing your job is just not practical.

Being friends with the Jays equals job security for Joe.

Being friends with the Jays will only get him so far. Winning rings is how real coaches get job security.

And which coach has kept his job by being friends with the star?

Nobody hates you OJT Joe unless you teach your stars to play like the snowflake you seem to be.

The point is if your players have your back, management and owner will be more hesitant to fire you, especially if the team wins 60 games.

If this trend continues, where coach and players have a good relationship, this will give Joe more time to get it done.

Like I said, if the players and coach are not on the same page, take the case of Adrian Griffin.

Griffin didn't even reach the All-Star break.
