I share this sentiment. It would certainly be a nerve wrecking series for sure, but we gotta face that ghost head on and put the nonsense to bed.

Or crap our pants and go on vacation early.

If Celtics lose in the first round it's worse than Patriots 18-1 season. They will be able to talk to last seasons Bruins about being absolute fraud chokers despite upsets happening far more often in Hockey. They can both hoist the trophies for most dominant regular seasons to playoff frauds.

I don’t see how anything could top the 18-1 Patriots. More recent pain? Sure. One I care more about? Yes. But not more epic, even if they got swept in Round 1. This team is great, but not running-the-table great!

Patriots advanced to the SB. NFL is one and done were upsets happen regularly. Losing in a 7 game series in the first round as an all time historic regular season team is way worse barring injuries. I don't think it's close actually. The other team has to beat you 4 times not a random 1 time upset on a bad day. Last 40 ish years the 1 seed lost their first playoff game in the NFL something like 25% of the time.

No one cares at this point (no one ever did lol) BUT...

Celtics ended up with 5th highest SRS all-time, behind MIL 71, CHI 96, LAL 72, and GSW 17.
They also finished with 4th highest relative net rating all-time (+7.9 RelORtg, -3.7 RelDRtg), behind CHI 96, CHI 97, and GSW 17.

Love how Philly fans are itching to play the C's this playoff season?! Let the games begin! First up Heat or Hawks IMO..... things are about to get "REAL"!

I think the heat will win against philly. Embiid’s definitely not healthy.

Philly is real a threat.

I'm expecting a Philly vs. Boston east finals.

If it's true Embiid is not really healthy, Cs better off facing Philly in rnd 1 than in the east finals.

I don't care at all about East opponents and hope the Cs don't either. Check ball, game on.

Can't get to the finals if you don't win the east.

Last season the Celtics were thinking finals prematurely.
