We got by with our shooting and offense during the 9-game win streak. Need to get that defense back before the playoffs. Part of it is players going in and out of lineups. Maybe part of it is boredom. In any case, we won't go far without that defense (and rebounding).

Post-ASB:
First 7 games: Celtics limited all 7 teams to below 55% effective FG%.
Next 11 games: Celtics limited only 4 of the 11 teams to below 55% FG%.

That's not a trend we want to carry over into the playoffs.

I wouldn't take much of what Perk says seriously, the guy is still clearly mad they traded Marcus.

If the trend continues and C's go out of the POs similar to last night with Tatum playing soft and low iq crunch time ball like that, I am out on him as the #1 on this team. They will need to package Brown or Tatum with whatever else sans White to get a legit #1. It will be time to split up the Jays. Neither have shown the ability to elevate their game consistently enough to lead a team even as talented as this one to a championship. If you're not trying to win a championship, what are we doing here?

I think for some people’s health they need to realise there is likely a **** tonne of tinkering going on and going easy to prevent injury.

Per inpredictable.com, the Celtics have the most efficient offense after a defensive rebound and after an opponent's made shot (+ dead ball turnovers).

The Celtics are running away in the standings mainly because of their home record. A number of other teams have road records that are close to ours.

Technically, yes. But TWolves are .5 games behind, and tied in the loss column.

Celtics top 6 players shooting in the 4th quarter:

Tatum: 40/31/85 splits; 54.0% TS%
Brown: 45/28/65 splits; 52.6% TS%
Porzingis: 45/33/87 splits; 58.9% TS%
Horford: 51/40/88 splits; 63.3% TS%
Holiday: 51/52/87 splits; 66.4% TS%
White: 48/45/88 splits; 67.4% TS%

White and Hauser lead the team in made threes in the 4th. White, Pritchard, and Horford lead the team in A/TO.

Tatum and Brown shouldn't hesitate to play more team ball in the 4th, even play decoy in some possessions, and trust their teammates to make plays/shots. The talent is there. Our role players can play and make an impact but it starts with the stars. No need to continually resort to stagnant hero ball especially late in games. Let's see that ball and those bodies moving.

I wanna face Philly with Embiid in the first round and then New York. I want this team tested.

This matches the eye test. We'll see if dopey Joe can operationalize these numbers.

I'll take the fewest games and easiest path possible.

How do you guys feel about most likely getting MIA or PHI in the 1st round?

Don’t care much about Mia but Philly with Nick Nurse and Embiid is not a matchup I’d like to have in the first round. But maybe its for the better and we come out focused out of the gate

I dont care at all.

Both teams get lucky to win a single game.

Some matchups may be better than others. But I want Boston to play up to their expectations regardless and if they do, they should dispatch anyone in 6 games or less. (In the EC at least)

I got full faith and confidence in our team, led by our coach, to get it done regardless of opponent.
