True.

Cs can even pay Tillman the max and it will not have an effect on other players contracts.

His play style freezes his teammates out.

JBs basketball IQ is so low he gets graded on a curve and praised for “heart” and “physicality” when he’s just charging through defenders trying to prove a point and get numbers all game.

Will there ever be a day JB will get judged more on basketball skills? Based on skills he’s not in the same league as Drew or White.

I do agree with White’s father. Like Ive been saying all year, it’s cute and experimental in the regular season, but in the playoffs the point guards need to run the offense. It makes the game easier for the TEAM.

The JB dribble the ball out and force an off target pass at the end of the shot clock is NOT a good play.

Yes, he may get a few more assists by dribbling the air out the ball, or dominating more possessions, but it’s so selfish and immature.

You are the worse ball handler and decision maker. Just give the ball up.

Playing team basketball will make it easier for everyone else. No matter how many quality coaches he’s had, JB still does not GET IT.

Recently quoted saying he would be an MVP candidate if he was #1 on his own team.

Please! Get him off this team!
Your commitment to the schtick is admirable.

JB’s commitment to the schtick is scary.

I watch the games as if we are already in the playoffs. I ain’t falling for the JB okey doke, every year, that’s all.

Every blackhole forced shot that’s goes in. Or every extended JB point stretch is nerve wracking.

Championships can be lost in a few possessions. Denver will be encouraging JB to takeover IF both teams make it to the finals.

Pre-ASB JB: 22.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.7 apg, 1.2 spg on 49/34/72 splits.
USG%: 27.3% (2nd)
TS%: 57.4% (10th)
A/TO: 1.51 (9th)
NetRtg: 7.4 (10th)

*Parentheses in rank among 11 rotation players

Post-ASB JB: 29.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.2 spg on 54/41/66 splits.
USG%: 32.9% (1st)
TS%: 62.3% (6th)
A/TO: 2.44 (9th)
NetRtg: 22.8 (1st)

*Parentheses in rank among 12 rotation players

Consider this JB's All-NBA push. Volume and efficiency both up. Not only did he improve his 3-pt efficiency, his shots within 5 feet of the rim increased (in FGA/game and in FG%). Huge while KP rested for six games. Fix FTs and continue limiting turnovers (happening less and less as he gets his shots within flow of the offense).

Gotta re-calibrate that on a full-strength team lol. KP needs his touches too and White to a lesser extent. Relying mainly on JT and JB for our offense hasn't gotten us a chip yet. Maximize all weapons.

Despite the poor start to his season, it looks like it. Even with the removal of positions.

Probably would've still made it, but these guys being injured and/or not making the 65-game cutoff certainly helps his case -- Embiid, Morant, Porzingis, Murray, Mitchell, Towns, Randle, Trae, Booker (can still make it?). Haliburton crawling his way into the cutoff is both hilarious and depressing. He shouldn't be All-NBA 'cos second half of season also counts.

Jokic, SGA, Doncic, Giannis, Tatum, AD, KD, Brunson, Edwards, Kawhi should be locks.

Lebron, Fox, Curry, JB, Sabonis, Zion, PG, J. Allen, Markkanen all have a case.

JB's improvements second half of the season make me feel at least a little bit like he could still continue to improve next season on his flaws when before it looked like he was a finished product. The question then was how long could he maintain this plateau before he started to decline, but decision making, shot selection, individual defense, post ups/finishing all look to be at least with a slight uptick before that timer starts. He's really using his strength on offense which is where almost all of his highlights come from. Just gotta hope playoffs follow norms and he's allowed to continue it instead of getting a tighter whistle on offensive fouls. I fully expect a few games where he's limited due to foul trouble. Our depth should still allow us to more than compete those games though.

Post-ASB, he's fourth in scoring behind Doncic, Giannis, and SGA. 54/41/66 splits. 2:1 A/TO. 3rd in +/- per game behind Tatum and Jokic.

Most definitely. If he was shooting 85%, but at his previous level of play it wouldn't be as beneficial to the team as his current play is even with the low ft%, but it's such an easy thing to fix he's just gotta get that up. He could shoot 90% from the field, but if he missed 2 clutch free throws in the playoffs he'll never hear the end of it.

drives me wild when he clanks FTs off the front of the rim. How does a talented NBA wing do that so consistently? I can understand missing some FTs here and there, it happens. But consistently clanging it off the front of the rim -- year after year -- does not make sense to me.

His turnaround and fadeaway are such a flick of the wrist shot they must be even more muscle memory than most things are for him. Not sure if he'll do it, but at least shows there's evidence to think if he practiced free throws enough they could become a muscle memory thing for him as well as he gets the feel for it more consistently. Who knows though, maybe it'd mess up his regular shot lol.
