How much has Father Time got to JB? He’s missing a lot more dunks lately and does not look springy out there. Mystery back issues are usually a sign of natural aging as well.

I asked this question well before JB decided to enter the dunk contest and declare himself one of the best to ever do it.

People referenced stats on how much he’s dunked this year. That’s not the point. JB tries to force posterize a lot, but if you watch enough basketball it’s clear he’s not a top leaper in this league. Aaron Gordon says hello, but the list is longer.

His game relies heavily on athleticism. I’ve mentioned all year how he often jogs back and naps on defense when it’s not a 1 v 1 matchup. It’s not hate. LeBron started doing that too as he aged.

BUT JB’s game relies soooo much more on athleticism than others. A trade as soon as possible will give us the best return.

Browns inability to hit a FT is absolutely going to be the demise of this team in the playoffs, bookmark it. Imagine making $300M to play basketball professionally and you can't hit a shot when literally no one is guarding you

He missed what 4 of his first 5 drives (which all happened in the first few minutes) against the Suns and it didn't feel like "same old JB", it felt like "wtf is going on JB". Then he got T'd up because he felt, as I did, he got fouled on at least a couple of those.

It took some time but with all the shooters on Boston combined with Brown making better reads and passing (mostly to KP it seems) teams are hesitant to smother trap and/or double Brown in the lane. And because of that, Brown is excelling lately. Not saying he doesn't still go Tunnel vision at times. But there has been some good progress with Brown this season.

.644. Large effect from the Denver game where he went 7/14.
The difference between that and 80% would be missing a 3 and two 2s.
Which would make his split 52/37/80… just for a little perspective on the importance of free throws.
Would we win that Denver game if he makes a few more? Maybe maybe not. Sure we would like him to shoot better from the line but this doesn’t matter as much as you think it does.
