I do wonder if the kid gets beaten up had he missed the shot.

Xavier Tillman is creeping up the Game Charts.
I can see him play some in the Playoffs.

Offensively he seems glued to that corner now, and I understand why: get that corner 3 down before the playoffs!
But I also liked him screening up top and getting into the roll around the high post -- will we see more of that, or is it probably not really worth running stuff through him at the elbows?

Agreed. He can do both pop and roll and needs to when opportunity arises. Unlike Brisset who is shooting challenged in appearance and results. X-man "looks" to have smooth mechanics. Hopefully his shooting touch can catchup.

I can't see a playoff game where he gets a DNP. Defense alone will be needed. Just make enough shots to keep teams honest on defense.

His defense is elite, but we aren’t doing him any favors playing him in a double big lineup with Kornet

All of this may be true, but do you really think we will play Single big lineups? it doesn't seem like joe would want that.. And to be honest i'm not sure myself..

Tillman is too small to be the lone big.

KP as the lone big is our starting lineup and most frequently used lineup. Al as the lone big is also a very frequently used lineup, especially during the games where KP has been out.

We typically start games and end games with a single big lineup.

Tillman is too small to be the lone big.

Depends on matchups and who we're going against, but in small doses I think it's fine.

Height is in-shoes, all measurements from the combine (listed in order of weight, from heaviest to lightest)

Tillman: 6'8.5", 266 lbs, 7'2" wingspan
Horford: 6'9.75", 246 lbs, 7'0.75" wingspan
Theis: 6'9", 245 lbs, 7'0" wingspan
Bam: 6'9.75", 242 lbs, 7'2.75" wingspan
Draymond: 6'7.5", 235 lbs, 7'2.75" wingspan

Keep in mind, height, wingspan and weight all factor in to the size of an NBA player. If we're only looking at height, we're leaving out some key pieces. I mean, some of the best rebounders of all-time were not very tall (Barkley, Rodman, Unseld, etc.)

*Theis wasn't at the combine. So I just put measurements that are listed for him online..it appears he's about 6'9" in shoes, 6'8" with no shoes..

He sprained his ankle in the regular season finale and has never been heard of since:)

Seems like he could be useful against Bam. Not needed, but could be useful, more than sending say, Grant Williams out there to the slaughter.

I actually think he would be our best Bam matchup. Straight up and because he can switch on PnRs if he has to switch onto a guard. Might be the only Big we have NOT needing to go into the Drop Coverage.

Agreed but what we’ve been doing all season with KP and Al has worked defensively against the league and the Heat, so I’m fine with them keeping it simple and rolling with that.
