We are good at blowing out teams if the 3ball is going, but struggle at close games, all because we don’t have a go to move to finish other than an iso ball from the Jays. The nuggets have murray and jokic, who are both great shot makers, and equally as great playmakers. The Jays are not good playmakers. All the other guys are just standing out at the 3, and nobody is even trying to cut to the basket. We are better off giving the ball to Porzingis in the free throw line, and try to make a play. Plus enough of the Jays dribbling the ball to cross half court. Jaylen wasted so much time dribbling, and same as JT. This team is cocky as hell. Thinking they can just blow undermanned teams out. Serves them right. Better now than in the playoffs i guess lol.

Any close game vs the Nuggets we're ****ed.

You're right, we need to make this competitive.
But IDK, we're already Down 2 Starters and PT Rotation player.

Hawks are making it too easy.
Wee need to Double their Score. For a Challenge.

lol looks like i spoke too soon

I agree, it serves them right.

Coasting all the way to the playoffs is a bad idea.

This group, especially the Jays, needs to feel the pain of losing.

I've seen numerous teams in the past that coasted through the regular season and ended up going home in the playoffs.

The most recent is the 64-win Suns of 2022 and the most memorable was the 2007 Mavericks who won 67 games and got knocked out in the 1st round.

Yes. Jokic just makes the right play everytime. Good thing is, we only need to have a great 3pt shooting 4 times, and we beat them. Not really that confident we can beat the Bucks handily though.

Yep, I think we still have the best shot this year. But if we go cold from 3 we're screwed

The solution is don't watch if it's a close game because some of you are already sure the Cs will lose.

That way you won't be stressed watching the close game the Cs might win or lose.

We need to blow this team up and you and I have said it all season mate.

Can’t believe people saw the 20-3 in the last 23 games and didn’t think we were a first round exit.

 I don’t know what to tell you if you haven’t seen a trend since JT became the guy. This isn’t a new problem that started this season with these crunch time issues.

We have a top 5 clutch record this season (20-10). We have had a couple of bad games but suggesting Boston is bad in the clutch this year is just not based in reality.

Clutch stats cover the last 5 minutes within 5 point difference. Yeah they’re 20-10 in those games however when the team has lost 14 games and 10 of those are are in clutch time it’s a bit concerning as I’m guessing all ten of those losses were a result of a Tatum missed step back/fall away. He’ll attack the basket in the first four minutes then for whatever reason it’s the same result the last 30 seconds.

JT still has next season to figure that out.

And because he's still 26 years old, JT still has 5 or 6 more years to figure it out.

When was the last time you’ve seen JT hit a game winner or for the tie in the final minute?

So I called you on your fake statement and now you move the goalpost?

That wasn’t me.

We did blow them out tonight until the big choking job, lol.

Im not worried about them taking their foot off the gas in the playoffs. It would be nice though to see them try something else the last minute of the game. How people aren’t seeing a trend is beyond me. Everyone was just questioning JT’s mvp level when he missed two consecutive game winners back to back game winners the other week.

Feels like that is the last step that’s keeping off the mvp tier. He took a big step getting others involved/passing. He’s going to be under the microsope here until he gets over the hump.

True.

I'm in this for the long haul as I've nothing to do but watch the Celtics until I retire and beyond.

So winning it this year will be sweet, but I can wait for the Jays until 2032.

Yep, self-awareness is something JT could definitely improve on. Often times he messes up and he seems to blame anything but him.

We're just going to use the same game thread for the next one right? I see no reason to give any more effort than they gave the second half lol.
