Trust? Zero.

I don’t trust the coach, I don’t trust the star players, i absolutely don’t trust the bench..offensive execution in the clutch is pathetic, defensively they don’t really get stops in the clutch either.

This team is a really, really talented 60+ win team..but the difficulties they have in the kill or be killed moments are extremely concerning. Them going into the playoffs with the pressure of being a top seed, best team in the NBA, historical stats and all that is an added weight on their shoulders.
A new dawn will rise in Boston. ‎#StayLoyal THANK YOU TRUTH!

There's no in-between here.

Remember, a lot of folks are saying this is championship or bust, right?

Dude, that's ridiculous lol.

It's just my opinion.

To each his own, I guess.

Idk how its even possible to fully trust a team with Joe as the coach. I feel like you almost have to lie to yourself.

I wouldn’t trust 1998 Bulls if Joe was their coach. The guy is clueless.

This season, the C's are now 6-11 when trailing or tied in the final 2 minutes.

One thing's for sure, those who believe will be fulfilled a 100% once the Cs win the chip.

Those who don't believe will pretend that they believed and will celebrate with the believers.

Or they would just use another burner account.

Okay. Your point? Those are the games you expect to lose. If you’re down late, you are probably going to lose the game…. If most of your wins are comebacks very late, it has more to do with the other team making mistakes, missing shots and blowing defensive assignments.

What was the Nuggets record down or tied in the final two minutes last year?

The Nuggets were #2 in the league in close game win% last year.

Thats not the stat you cited above: you cited down or tied. Down doesn’t mean close. Also the Celtics had the second best Clutch Winning percentage last year per NBA.com.

Situation being tied or behind by 3 or less in last two minutes last five seasons...

Denver (46-51):
2023-24: 5-9
2022-23: 12-9
2021-22: 11-11
2020-21: 8-12
2019-20: 10-10

Boston: (38-74)
2023-24: 6-11
2022-23: 8-12
2021-22: 7-19
2020-21: 10-20
2019-20: 7-12

Nuggets been better at Celtics every year since Jays took the reins.

While situations like this are more prone to luck/variance, Nuggets having an all-timer offensive hub in Jokic and a go-to primary action in Murray-Jokic PnR/handoff may have something to do with their success late in games. Or at least fans have more confidence in them than whatever we're doing.

I'm not gonna lie, this is an incredibly talented team and a solid chance of winning it all this season, but their lack of ability to play winning basketball to close out tight games is a concern.

It does amaze me how easy it is for us to generate incredibly good shot attempts for 46 minutes and then revert to absolute crap if the game is on the line.

We seem to win by 10+ or lose by 2, not much in between.

Mr_Mojo_Risin wrote:There is residual fear based on previous years, but hard to determine how much of that is irrational.

I can see how good the team is, how well they’re coached, the growth in all players and what an amazing job Brad has done as GM to get to this point.

I chose option 2 in part because of that irrational fear, but also because regardless of how good we are, they and especially Jokic are great too.

Great points. You spoke my feelings too.

Zero concern.

But #2 is the real answer.

That's about where I'm at. The J's will never deliver a title, as last night demonstrated.

Why do you trust this team to win it all? Why don't you? Vote and discuss.

If your opinion is not perfectly reflected by the options, think of it as a 1-5 thing. 1 being a lot, 5 being very little.

Trust? I'm talking about practice. Not the game. Not the game. Have Mazzulla get in the gym and practice running the offense through D White at the end of games. He's a better decision maker than JT or JB, he's a clutch shooter but will pass as needed, is money on free throws. Other than egos, what am I missing?
