Scoot is much worse than anyone could’ve imagined.

62-16. Not too many Celtics seasons like it.

PP really stepped up his game this season.

And he's only going to get better as the years go by.

Brad got him at a bargain price.

Not saying Scoot is the next Marcus Banks, but I'm really reminded of Marcus Banks when I see Scoot.

Partly a credit to Dalano.

It'll get (fairly) swept under the rug since we're so good regardless of the two players in question, but I said at the time that giving up on Banton for Springer didn't add up at all, and I'm still there. There was always clearly an NBA player in Banton. Too long, too skilled, too much floor game. The only question was when it would click rather than if. Can't say the same about Springer. Maybe there's a team control argument - we can resign Springer into the tax but not Banton? Or maybe Banton's character in the locker room was deemed untenable? Because dumping a guy for a smaller, more unskilled, more expensive option doesn't seem justifiable on bball terms.

Banton needed more reps, consistent playing time to develop. Even though he’s putting up numbers the Blazers have only won 2 or 3 games since he’s been there. Doesn’t mean he won’t be able to contribute to winning basketball eventually, but this wasn’t the best environment for him since we can’t provide him 20+ min per game to really let him develop

I was very impressed with Scoot when I saw him play for the G League Ignite last year, but he looked very average today.

He is not as big, athletic, or fluid as I thought, and his shot doesn't look great either. He reminded me a little bit of Emmanuel Mudiay.

He could still turn into a solid NBA player, but his upside is not as high as I thought.

Banton has FaNTASTIC size, he is skilled and fluid and 'bendy' ...his jumper is BuSTeD tho and something is clearly missing with him mentally. I get that he was a little redundant in Toronto, and I was super excited when we signed him, but the writing was on the wall when they let a Canadian son walk

His vibe eminds me ALoT of Romeo...

Springer is wired right mentally, plays with hair on fire INtENSiTY !! very athletic, takes pride in DeFENSE

Yo I have the game on again right now as I putter around the house and I decided to check out the Blazers feed.

Their "analytics reporter" Tom Haberstroh said he is taking the Heat to beat us if we match up in the playoffs.
