Celts Murder Hornets! Victory Cigar vs CHA 4/12

Post#1 » by bisme37 » Sat Apr 13, 2024 1:39 am

Hey that was fun you guys! Our bench and G League team put on a show and stomped the Hornets!

Pritchard with 23 and 9 assists in the 1st half and a career high 31/11 on the night! And I don't even know who else to mention because EVERYONE was terrific!

The C's came out with great energy, played an awesome team game and blew it open with a 31-8 run to end the 1st half. I wanted Joe to make the starters play garbage time as punishment for that Knicks game haha.

Regular season ends with a Sunday matinee vs Wizards, Go C's!

Brad knows a thing or two about roster-building. I think Svi was a fluke lol. Gave my votes to PP and Kornet.

All four of the Maine guys plus Springer showed something. Queta: 16 points, 6 reb, 5 assists, and 2 steals in 18 minutes. That guy is going to have an NBA career. Davison looked really good moving the ball around. He'll get a chance next fall to make the team.

Celtics were without Porzingis, Tatum, Brown, White, Holiday and Horford. Pritchard played All-NBA. Queta and Kornet astonished. Springer looked like a steal for $4 Million. Brissett can board, and Walsh looked good for a rookie. Davison was a bit out of control deep in the paint, but managed 7 assists in 17 minutes. Whew !!!

An alternative view:

Pts + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed Field Goals - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+29.5 Payton Pritchard 31 minutes An All-NBA Performance
+23.5 Neemias Queta 18 minutes
+23 Luke Kornet 25 minutes

+17 Jaden Springer 25 minutes
+13.5 Oshae Brissett 15 minutes

+10 Sam Hauser 30 minutes
+9.5 Jordan Walsh 20 minutes
+9 JD Davison 17 minutes
+7 Drew Peterson 12 minutes

+3 Xavier Tillman 13 minutes

-1 Svi Mykhailiuk 34 minutes

Great Win. Pritchard Gets the Cigar.
IDK who to vote for, after him. Everybody was good.

With their 63rd win, Celtics assured of at least the 6th best finish in franchise regular season history.

(We better not lose to the Weezards.)

PP no doubt gets VC.

But CP is a different story.

I have Queta for CP because Queta played his role perfectly.

Played like a true big man, that Queta.

PP's even going to be better next season.

That really takes some of the pressure off on Jrue and White.

If you double what Queta did in his 18 minutes, it looks like a Jokic stat line or better -- 32 point triple double, with 0 TOs and 80% shooting.

Cs really looking good at the big man position for years to come with Queta, Tillman, and Kornet.

Of course KP is still the most important piece.

And none of the three you mentioned is a great bet to fully replace Horford.

But I'm happy to invest Wyc's money in all three, if they're all content with their playing time.

I enjoyed this game. Loving the stop and pops in the lane by Pritchard. I wish JT would do that once in a while.
Win it for Al!!!

Despite the Fan Appreciation Night crowd not getting to see the stars, the bench teamers put on a great show.
