I don’t call for Queta over Kornet but I am a Queta believer. I think he still needs another year or two. I think what Joe Mazzulla did tonight putting Queta in the last 2 minutes in a playoff game is huge. The same the other day with Springer.

Both Queta and Springer have a great opportunity, they just have to keep working

Training camps for both those players will be huge but they also have to work this summer

Tatum needs to step up and be more than a role player. I don't think it's a big deal this round because the Cavs don't have enough offense but at some point Tatum's going to have to be the guy

His best offensive plays were probably two early drives for FTs. They weren’t great drives, but they were effective, and helped set the tone that this CLE team sucks and the Celtics should do whatever they want against them. And he — like JB — hit those early FTs. Beyond that I liked most of his defense, all of his rebounding, and all of the times he passed the ball.

He looked like a role player out there to be honest. Half of his rebounds came from misses with no contest. Its also not surprising we got the bigger lead with JT sitting. We can’t win it all with him playing like a role player. Not unless Jaylen takes over his role as the alpha, and go toe to toe with the other teams best player. I don’t think Jb can do that at all. JT needs to stop overthinking. Maybe Joe needs to design a different approach to help JT get into his game early.

He was drilling the pull-up three in the Heat series, so hoping tonight was just a rust game with that. I believe he’s now at around 12% on catch and shoot threes so far lol.

You're more optimistic about a Tatum shooting breakthrough than I am. It's the low key thing I worry about when we face real teams.

I don’t see any reason to be concerned. Unless you expect him to keep shooting under 15% on catch and shoot threes, after a career’s worth of being over 40% on them. He was shooting 80% within 3 feet coming into today, and missed a few easy looks. He shot 37% on pull-up threes against Miami, so I’m not going to worry about that because he went 0-3 on them tonight.

It’s not a Tatum “breakthrough”, it’s correction to the mean lol.

That makes it sound much better than the whole picture. He was under 1 point per possession on pull up jumpers at something like .94.

Back in the 80's, I remember TV announcers talking about impacting the game even if you're not shooting the ball well.

Not only did JT get rebounds and made the right passes, he also played good defense.

So yeah, he definitely impacted the game.

What I'm referring to is I don't understand why some want JT to be like Ant when JT has more accomplishments than Ant.

One great postseason doesn't make the player into an instant Hall of Famer.

In fact, Ant has not made a single All-NBA team yet.
