Better Hitting Pitcher: Dontrelle Willis or Carlos Zambrano?

Post#1 » by Jose7 » Sat Apr 7, 2007 5:53 pm

I have to go with the D Train, last year he hit a grand slam off of Lima Time, that sh*t was a bomb!

It is Zambrano. He could probably become a .250 hitter if he actually did enough BP.

Oswalt is better than both, but Zambrano.

Zambrano actually hit .300 in 2005 in a good number of at bats--84. He's a career .212/.223/.355 hitter. Dontrelle is a career .222/.265/.326. I guess I'll take Dontrelle. He has more plate discipline than Jeff Francoeur.

Career EQA
Willis- .211
Zambrano- .197

It looks like Willis is the better hitter, remember just because you hit pretty HRs doesn't make you a better hitter.

Also the past few years I would say Livan Hernandez has been the best hitter that is a pitcher. Obviously Hampton is the best but he's always injured.

That's embarassing to the hitter who hit 8th.

Willis. Pitchers have to treat him as a hitter!

I remeber Bronson Arroyo smacked out two homers in his first two starts last year. insane! But really, the best hitting pitcher is Greg Maddux, that dude has like a career average over .200

Zambrano hit his 1st HR today. His pitching didn't do much better.
