Reggie Willits

Post#1 » by daddyfivestar » Mon Dec 3, 2007 10:53 pm

What will it take to get Reggie Willits now that the Angels have Hunter, Vlad, Matthews, Anderson, and Rivera all lined up for OF and DH duty.

Can he be an every day player? He seemed to do well last year as a backup who, due to injuries, was in the lineup a lot.

of course he can be an everyday player, he's a solid OBP guy with great speed, him and figgins always killed the rangers when the 2 got on base causing havoc on the basepath.

the thing that sucks is his arm aint that great and his power is minimal, so it'd probably help to have a CF that can hit for power to help balance out his lack of power.

id take him though

Sure, he can be an everyday player if he can maintain his .390 OBP. If it drops below .370 he's probably pretty useless given his complete lack of power, though. He's definitely in the bottom 5 for starting left fielders.

I wouldn't touch him; just too much risk since all of his value is tied into having a good batting average and drawing walks.

His defense is very good, but he's a left fielder so this isn't really that big of a plus.

Willits can be an everyday player.
