Mark Teahen for Aaron Laffey.

Teahen has defensive versatility. He's a natural 3rd baseman but can play a good corner OF. Luckily, Cleveland has a need in both areas. Teahen is no superstar, but he'll be a solid regular who's just getting into his prime power years. He's about to hit arbitration, but his play hasn't been great enough to make him that expensive.

Laffey will never be an ace, but he's a pretty safe bet as far as pitching prospects go. He has some MLB experience and should be a consistent innings eater with his hard sinker. The Indians still have Sowers to plug in if Lee really struggles, and higher ranked pitchers like Lofgren and Miller will be on the way in the future.

Laffey is one of my favorite prospects/players and I would rather have him in real life than Teahen, but I may be biased. But I want Laffey on the Cardinals, I would trade Chris Duncan for him, who is likely more valuable, maybe not, I don't know. Anyway I don't have any thoughts on this trade, just came in to express my Laffey love.

I have an unhealthy man-obsession with Aaron Laffey but, realistically, he

Keep in mind I posted before he pitched an inning this year. I agree that with his great start, I don't think the Indians would pull the trigger.

I think the Indians would pass on this deal.
