Orioles not going ot sign 5th pick in draft?

I believe they have all of 15 minutes to sign him or he's gone and we are left with a supplemental 1st pick next year. Might of just had to wait out the first pick signing which just happened to get better parameters on what the deal will look like, but I think it would be a major snafu not signing a top 10 pick to get a lower pick in the next year draft.

6 million signing bonus for the 5th pick and a 1.1 million signing bonus for a 5th round pick? That just sounds crazy.

Eh, there's no true slotting in baseball. Boras was was asking for $10 million in bonus money last I heard. Still, if he's as good as the scouts say he is, he'll probably be in The Show by the time Ramon's contract runs out.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Return to Baltimore Orioles
