well, time to turn this game off. Just frustrating watching our pitchers gets killed and our offense do nothing about it

Dodgers win game 1, 6-1. Braves struck out an average of 8.8 times per game during the regular season. They struck out 15 times tonight.

Hopefully we can get Mike Minor some runs tomorrow.

Kershaw was dominant, and Medlen was not sharp. Game over. Team needs to have a strong showing and win Game 2 in a convincing manner. Take back momentum.

Here's something amazing that I came across in a new Andrelton Simmons article.

"According to Baseball Info Solutions, the brains behind DRS (Defensive Runs Saved), a 0 score is average. (Negative numbers are allowed.) A score of plus-5 is "above average," plus-10 is "great" and plus-15 is "Gold Glove caliber."

In 2013, Simmons was a plus-41."

Me too. Greinke has a career 6.48 ERA in 3 postseason starts, hopefully the Braves can take advantage of that.

That's insane!

We always knew he was a great defensive SS, and his bat is coming around too. Career high 17 HRs with 59 RBI on a .248 avg. Going forward I'd like to see him draw more BBs, get that OBP above .320. Had a .296 OBP this season, 40 BBs to 50 Ks in 606 ABs.He doesn't strike out much.

Hard fought win. Still, we have our work cut out for us having lost game 1. This will now be a very tough 3 game series for both teams.

the atmosphere was amazing tonight!! I think we have a slight advantage in game 3 with Teheran over Ryu, although it's a game that both teams need to win, the Dodgers for obvious reasons and us because we'll have Freddy Garcia (who I don't trust) on the mound for game 4.

Kimbrel's fastball hit 100 or better 8 times tonight in 25 pitches to 4 of the 5 batters he faced, hitting 101 once.

Here's that caught stealing, just to avoid any controversy. Clearly Simmons applied the tag before Gordon slid into 2nd.

Teheran and Ryu at it tonight. Braves need this one badly. Pitt is beating the Cards which we want to try and get home field in the NLCS. But have to beat the Dodgers first.

OK! Pirates defeat the Cards to take a 2 games to 1 lead. Now, Braves need to do the same!
