2019 regular season thread - go cubs go!

Post#1 » by hermes » Tue Mar 26, 2019 10:33 pm

the regular season is upon us (on thursday)

even though we've won over 90 games every year since the world series it seems like we've been just plodding along. and nothing much happened in the off-season this year either

hopefully we can continue to be a really good team and get some breaks in the postseason. i imagine the nc central will continue to be tough so hopefully we haven't slid backwards

bummed that happ got sent to the minors, i really like him. strikes out too much though

go cubs go!

feels like darvish is not going to end up as a good signing

can't have the bullpen falling apart already

First game I get a chance to watch and they blow lead after lead. They better get the pitching figured out quickly.

yeah it would be nice to get the pitching on track so we can take advantage of this good hitting

I think another 90+ win season is here. I was really hoping Harper would come to town. The off season seemed like a status quo, which hopfully will be good enough for the playoffs.

There is a lot of bad weather this time of year so they like to be able to make up the opener right away. At least that's what I have heard.

maybe once he figures out how to get the ball over the plate he will improve. So far he has been a horrible signing.

6 unearned runs. It is almost impossible to win a game where you allow that. It is impossible to win a game where you don't score any runs.

Wow just wow, 2nd terrible outing by Darvish. The BP is beyond bad. We got spanked by the Braves.

man our pitching is so terrible, and we're actually scoring enough runs that if the pitching was only bad we'd be winning a few of these - buts its worse than bad

If the pitching doesn't get it together soon it is going to be a very long season. They look like the Rangers of the 90s with lots of offense and no pitching.

If Jose can keep pitching like that it will solve a lot of problems. Let see if Hamel's can keep it going today.
