Lou Says Changes Coming (likely pitching)

Speculation it could be as simple as more minor leaguers like Marmol for relief, but also some speculation as to a trade considering it would be odd to wait until monday for whatever reason just to call up a minor leaguer.

Moving Alfonso down in the order permenantly would be a good start.

I think Fonz will bad 2nd when Lee comes back keeping Theriot in the leadoff spot and Lee will bat 3rd.

Marshall will be the next one brought up.

He's been dominating in the minors.

"In a very busy morning for the Cubs, manager Lou Piniella announced that pitcher Angel Guzman will return to the bullpen and that Derrek Lee likely will sit out the entire series against the White Sox. Kerry Wood also made an appearance."

"That leaves Piniella in search of a fifth starter, and Triple-A Iowa left-hander Sean Marshall looks like the front-runner so far."

"Kerry Wood also showed up Saturday and said he's ready to start a throwing program again and begin a rehab session with the hopes of returning to the Cubs in the second half."

I got that from chicagosports.com btw..

I knew Marshall was going to get called up after how he's been performing.

I think Guzman could be the closer.. I like putting him in the setup role.

Does Guzman not have the endurance to start regularly? He's looked sharp.

I think he was getting leg cramps in his last start.
