So far George looks good and I like what I see.
And when I saw the video above the first thing that came to my mind was OZ.

Re: KEYONTE GEORGE
Well, if this is our pick at 16, I can’t wait for our pick at 9…
Seriously though, it’s early days obviously but we just might have done really well with Keyonte. Not everyone scores 33 points and gets 10 assists in summer league and all he can think about is improving further. Great mindset…

Keyonte looks good......his handle and hesitation moves are good. He can shoot the 3 at a high percentage.....beautiful, fast rising shot.

He's not a pure PG at this stage, but he's moving in that direction. Although it's not a physical comp, his game reminds me a bit of Desmond Bane.

Re: KEYONTE GEORGE
In an interview after LV game one, Keyonte George said he was interested in competing for the Las Vegas MVP. I didn't think it was worth mentioning after just one game, but since he backed up game one performance with a great game two performance, I'll mention it now. I probably just jinxed him though. Lol.
The LV ppg leader, Jabari Smith, is a second year NBA vet and may be shut down the rest of the way. Spurs are shutting down Wemby.

I agree with SoCalJazzFan that Keyonte has a long ways to go to become a good NBA defender, but hey, he is still 19 years old and the Jazz have a good developmental staff, so we will see what happens.

Re: KEYONTE GEORGE
Showing the on-ball skills needed to play as scoring lead guard in the NBA was nice but quite expected.
The pleasant surprise for me has been his willingness to make the quick and easy pass forward. Too many ball-dominant guards just refuse to do it, and on this Jazz squad it is very helpful. He could differentiate himself from the many overdribblers in the team, if he keeps doing that early and often. To me he already has the ability to provide offense for the second unit, but he is a looong way defensively from surviving serious rotation minutes. Props to Jazz scouting for identifying the PG talent in him.

The Hoop Collective spent a good amount of time talking about George.

Rookie George is off to an effective shooting start. (Please, no jinx!) After the first three games, he's at 9.3 ppg on 60 TS% in 19.3 mpg. The rest of our guards are below 50 TS%. League average is 55.8%. League average last season was 58.1%.

I am a huge fan. Obviously a long way to go and lots of work to be done still but easy to see how he could turn out to be a great PG. U can already sense the respect he’s getting from the likes of Collins and Markannen, which could be instrumental in his development. Let’s hope he can stay healthy

I just hope Coach to never again put a any other of our kind of mediocre floor generals in front of him anymore.

The kid's the real deal. Insane assist to TO ratios over the last few games. Even historic. He'll be a part of the future for sure.

And he’s not just throwing simple passes.
