Hey guys Nets fan here. Would you guys be open to the idea of a Nene for a Humphries/Brooks swap?

trade Nene, Vesely, Booker, for a lotto pick of 2014.
that way the Wizards could possibly get both Wiggens and Parker

Wiggins and Parker? They play the same position.
Heck, I'll be satisfied with Muhammad in 2013.
President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries

What would you want for an Ebanks-Webster deal? A 2nd?

I know it's obviously a tank year, but it would be nice for the team to experience play with some outside shooters hitting. Webster's one of the few on the team that can, and he's been pretty reliable there. Ebanks doesn't add anything, and a Lakers 2nd probably wouldn't even provide a roster addition (and if EG's still here, he'll probably trade it away anyway).

Nevermind the fact that you'd have to send a 2014 lottery pick to get rid of Nene's contract.

that would be like drafting Lebron and Carmelo...those two are guaranteed future all stars

Any interest in dealing Vesely for Royce White?
White would certainly bring some much needed skill and rebounding, and not that this is saying much, would probably be good enough to start for us. Apparently some of his issues with Houston are that he just isn't getting the playing time he wants. Obviously there is all the other mental health baggage he brings- but he doesn't seem to be a bad or poisonous personality. I say, let's trade for him, let him play in games east of the Mississippi, and see what he can do.
From Houston's side, it sounds like they are getting close to fed up with him, and maybe would be willing to swap him for Jan, who isn't ever going to live up to his draft position, but still has some potential, and seems more than happy to blend in however management sees fit.

I have zero confidence that our front office could handle Royce White's issues. I'm also not sold that he's really that good.

Agreed. We've had a dandy of a time trying to reel in goofballs like McGee, Young and Blatche -- and none of them had any confirmed mental illness. I can only imagine how badly we'd handle Royce who seems, in addition to having a serious condition, to be a bit of a drama queen.

WAS trades Nene, Vesely, Crawford, 2013 top 2 protected first rd pick and a 2nd rd pick
SAC trades Cousins, Salmons, Fredette
projected lineup:
Wall/Fredette/Price
Beal/Martin/Fredette
Salmons/Ariza/Webster
Seraphin/Singleton/Booker
Cousins/Okafor
I would love to get Cousins here- warts and all. In addition to all the talent he has, he has been very open about how much he would like to play with John Wall, and how much he likes DC itself.
We get Cousins, and I think our chances of locking up Wall long term are much improved- no matter how bad our record is this year.
Having said that I seriously doubt that Sac is going to give up on him short of a Gilbert Arenas type of incident.

Re: Official Trade Thread XX (6/22/12 - present)
Locking Wall up long term is not actually a problem. We have him for next year, and then he would have to reject a lucrative extension and sign a one year deal in order to become a free agent the next season. So that's two more years of Wall guaranteed.
Even after that, we can give him more years and more money than anyone else. There are very few scenarios where Wall leaves on his own volition in the next 4-5 years. Even the big stars who have 'forced' trades or left their teams in recent years did so AFTER their first extension.
Which is all to say, "keeping Wall" is not a useful or necessary element to weigh in a trade. Throwing that out, I'm not really sold on Cousins as an impact player. I'd trade Nene/Ves/Crawford for him because it helps our cap situation and gives us a young asset, but throwing in the first round pick doesn't get us anywhere except to short circuit our rebuild yet one more time.

Considering our track record in drafting, anything short of a top 2 pick, I would trade. Unless, you are telling me that you would prefer a Vesely or Beal over Cousins.

We've failed to utilize resources before, so why bother trying? Is that really your position Danny?
Moreover, Vesely or Beal for Cousins isn't anywhere close to the proposed trade. I'm really not certain what you're arguing for here. Could you elaborate on your point please?

We'll throw in Jordan Crawford too.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Roy Hibbert for Nene once Nene gets healthy a plays a few games.
Is it realistic to hope & pray Hibbert comes back next season focused and in shape? I think he celebrated his contract a bit too much this offseason.

Steve Blake, Chris Duhon, and Jodie Meeks for Trevor Ariza and Martell Webster.
The Wizards cut Duhon to save a couple million in the off-season.

I meant a top 2 protected pick in next year's draft is most likely not gonna get us a better player than Demarcus. Also considering our record of drafting in the lotto, I don't see us hitting any home runs. It doesn't sound ideal, but with Ernie at the helm, it is the honest truth.
