Fun game to watch tonight. We are deep at the 1-3 positions with production coming from different players each game. If only we had a quality 4 or 5. We could play with anyone except for a possibly the top 3 or 4 teams. When does Doug give Moultrie a chance?

Re: 76ers (5-4) vs Cavaliers (2-6) Sunday (11/18) - 6:00 PM
what i meant by "long-run performance" is what you can expect from a player on a nightly basis rather than what a player gives you in an arbitrary 30-40 minute stint
I have a really hard time finding any type of logic in your post. For one, you shouldn't expect the backup for Kwame Brown to be consistent EVERY NIGHT, in fact, you shouldn't expect any bigs off the bench to be solid on a consistent basis. If that was the case, don't you think they would be in the starting lineup? Unless, of course, they're backing up elites such as Howard & Griffin. However, that isn't the case for us, so you should be satisfied with the backup putting up 8.5 points/7 rebounds/1.5 blocks in limited minutes, ESPECIALLY when most of the other players on the team are just as sporadic.
if turner scores 35 points in miami, great for him, but until he starts demonstrating he can do so consistently, why should we treat this as a worthwhile indicator of future performance?
No one scores 35 points CONSISTENTLY, which is why I made that analogy. If someone isn't satisfied with a 35 point performance simply because they know whoever produced it won't consistently score that many every game in the "future," then they are nitpicking way too much, exactly like what you are doing right now.
Spencer's standards are obviously much lower than what people expect out of Turner, so to watch him dominate down the stretch like he did tonight is something that everyone should be pleased to see, even if you dislike him. Or, I guess, you could be angry with Doug for not giving Kwame more minutes, although I'm sure you would agree that it wouldn't be a very rational perspective, considering that in those eight minutes he did play, he brought absolutely nothing to the table.
literally any player with a decent shot can get "hot" (read: lucky) on a given night, take a high volume of shots and hit most of them.
This is how I know you didn't watch the game tonight. Yes, Hawes made a few shots in the 4th to extend the lead, however, he also missed some shots in crunch time as well. Also, the fact that 5-13 constitutes as "hot" to you scares me. Not only that, but you are unaware that he played better on the defensive end tonight than on the offensive side of the ball, which is the main reason why I stated that he looked impressive. Again, stop assuming without logic. It keeps making you look silly.
One more thing; Hawes shot 38% from the field (5-13); how you believe that he made most of his field goals is beyond me. But hey, I'm aware that some people can't do third grade math, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
when brian scalabrine "finally started to get minutes" in his fourth year in the league, he went off for 29 points vs golden state. does that mean he was turning a corner in his game and finally becoming a dirk nowitzki-esque scorer? no, but sadly people like you and others on this forum would treat the game as evidence of just that.
Sig-worthy.

Dont know if you seen it yet, but for you and those who missed it, the sequence everyone was going crazy about was put in the highlights. Its at the 1:40 mark of the highlight.

I once saw Anthony Tolliver drop 30 in a game against the Hornets.

Friday night was the 5 year anniversary of our very own Damien Wilkins torching the Hawks for 41.

We should start Hawes instead of Thad, he seems lost a little bit when starting for us. In fact I believe he can put up the same numbers with much better efficiency off the bench and with Thad , Nick and Dorell we would have one of the best scoring bench groups in this league.

Hawes did come up big at the end. I think Hawes and Kwame should start. Thad needs to get to the bench. Too small to compete.

14 points from Hawes
2 points from Lavoy
7 points from Thad
0 points from Kwame.
We won last night because Hawes had a good game. Our 1-3 had a good game as usual. And we won because one of our big men had a good night.

..and if we won because of Hawes you do know that we just got lucky.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Lavoy 10 in Utah game
Hawes 4 in Utah game
Thad 14 in Utah game
Kwame 2 in Utah game
We won this game because Lavoy had a good game.
If we can get a decent game out of the center position lets say at least 10 points, we usually will win. Thad usually will get us 10-14points.

If Lavoy and Hawes can alter good games. We will be ok.

woah, missed that novel you wrote a couple days ago trend settaz
what are you talking about? what does not having better options have to do with a player's absolute productivity/efficacy?
you must have had a load of fun arguing against imaginary points i never made.
if you want me to explain it to you again:
"its cool a player is having a good night but that has very little impact on my overall opinion of the player"
if this sounds unreasonable to you... well, we're probably done talking
i was responding to the random evan turner example you used, sorry it ended up confusing you
if you don't understand how players can get "hot" on defense, i'll explain it to you in further detail i guess but i have a feeling you were just intentionally misreading/misunderstanding my post in an attempt to make me look foolish
it's sad you have to resort to tactics like this to feel like you've "won" an argument
no dude, you're totally right, i have no idea how to do third grade math, what a reasonable and intelligent contribution to this discussion, no way was i referring to something else you said, no, it's that i don't know what 5/13 is

Kyrie is claiming his broken finger occurred against the Mavs. What a joke. The doctors would x-ray the finger if it was 'black and blue'. He's mad because Jrue embarrassed him.
