I don't want anything off of that Boston team. Bradley would be a good pick up if he wasn't always hurt. His career will be riddled with injury, no reason to bring that to our team.

I am tired of everyone thinking that the Magic should just trade their talent to become the Bobcats for the next 3-5 years. I want nothing to do with being a bottom feeder. I seriously doubt Henny and Vaughn want to get stuck in that trap either. Because, the lottery guarantee's absolutely nothing. Good team players at least guarantee chemistry and a nucleus for success.
this doesn't make sense, the Cats actually have a future now after bottoming out instead of wasting time with an awful Stephen Jackson/Gerald Wallace/Raymond Felton lineup that would never amount to more than a first round exit

They certainly did an upgrade in my opinion to Kemba Walker after parting ways with Felton.
I know this is not predicted to be a strong draft but wish we could get the bobcats pick this year to really test out the drafting abilities and scouting abilities of the completed new front office as see if they could find a diamond in the rough

the Bobcats have had exactly one winning record since their inception. One. And to say they now have a future, when does it arrive? Because it wasn't this year. Also worth noting: after their worst in the league record, lo and behold, no number one pick and can't miss draft of Anthony Davis.
Teams that are perennially counting on a high lottery pick are destined to be perennially in the lottery. It's not a logical strategy for sustained success.

I'd take Rondo in a heartbeat for anyone on this team.

if the Bobcats are chasing Gay, then what do they do with MKG? slide him to the bench to groom for a couple years? push him to the 4? i'm not sure Gay or MKG could cover 2's. not sure how they coexist.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bdu33f8
would you do it? even though it's my proposal, i'm not sure. AA already outperforms MKG, and Harkless could very well grow into Batum/George 2.0. MKG hasn't really showed as many flashes of greatness as you'd like to see from a #2 pick. he's regressed in every area, and most disappointingly is that he at least started out with a lot of games that showed his ability to get to the line at a high rate. he's got a good post game, though. he shoots a high rate from inside, and converts those, too.

I dont know if I would do that... Harkless can turn into a good player, but it is a long road though. I expect him to put nice numbers no sooner than his fourth year. Also, I'm not sure if MKG is going anywhere and if trading Afflalo is a good idea. I just dont see that trade happening, for any of those teams.

For an added bonus:
It gives JJ the opportunity to start if he wants to stay.
I would do it and run.

Could alternatively take Ellington's expiring and send Wroten to the Cats (perhaps a bit more fair for Charlotte).

I like both and would probably pull the trigger on either one but I prefer Cigamodnlaro's.
I used to play with the trade checker a lot, but anyhow since Boston's coveting JJ and the Bobcats are looking for rebounding I thought I'd try to come up with one of my own.

Yes, all day. Not sure other teams bite.
Anything with Boston would have to involve a 3rd team. Rondo is the only player they have that intrigues me and I'd be a little surprised if they trade him.

i love the return for us, but i'm not sure the Bobcats bail on MKG without getting a legit star in return.
and unless Boston secretly don't think Rondo will be any good without 3 all stars around him, i don't know if Meer + JJ is enough to land him. he's a top 5 PG in the league, arguable top 2 - 3 in some minds.
cig, your deal is sweet. i figure that Charlotte won't want to give up MKG AND take on Rudy's salary without receiving some cap relief themselves - which is why i figure they'd look to either ship out Tyrus or Gordon. that's why i included Minny, because they're going to need a somewhat decent big man to cover for Love whilst he's out, and Thomas would be ok in that regard (although, he's horrendously overpaid). meanwhile, Minny get out from under that stupid deal they gave Roy as incentive for taking on a bigger contract. they also get a SG who would perfectly compliment a Love/Rubio tandem, and he's locked into a long term, affordable contract.
meanwhile, Memphis get 2 young studs in D.Williams and Harkless, as well as a 6th man PG/SG in Barea (and I know Hollinger is quite the fan of Barea). i'm sure we could amend the deal to include Wroten coming back to Orlando, too. otherwise, i'm not sure Memphis will be too keen to take back salary like Harrington. if they wanted a pure salary dump, they could most likely find someone to take Gay for nothing.

No offense but there is 0% chance Charlotte does this.

No offense taken.
Just have to be realistic that to make everyone happy it'll be hard to put a 4-team deal together for instance involving Gay (to Charlotte). These kind of deals happen during the summer quite more often, not in the middle of the season. Thing is, you can agree Boston's content on what's coming back as they'll realizing their window is just about closed. So, I love everything about the deal, just have to make it worthwhile for Charlotte. With a little tweaking, would adding Avery Bradley to Charlotte and a future 1st from Orlando (to Boston) get a deal done similar to the trade I proposed, well at least the framework?
There's a series of scenarios that could entice Charlotte. One, possibly unloading Tyrus Thomas' contract in return for Jeff Green or something similar to what I mentioned above. My ONLY concern, the magnitude of deals (like this) just don't happen during mid season usually, rather in the offseason.
Edit: MKG has been an up & down roller coaster this season which can be usual for rookies but in time, who knows if Harkless becomes the better player. Way too really to tell, but at the expense of losing MKG (and sights set on Rudy Gay) Harkless is quite the consolation prize. Also, Charlotte isn't an attractable place to sign for FA's so the trade route in acquiring solid pieces is their best route hence why the deal I proposed supports that kind of logic.

Well I think this topic will give you a general idea on what MKG is worth to Charlotte fans and the rest of the league

Maybe a bit overrated(overvalued)

Boston doesn't have alot i'd want, I like CLEE but he's having a bad year. they'll need to pull in a 3rd team or offer up Avery
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

I personally have no interest in Lee as long as Orlando have either Afflalo or Redick.
